RE: Updating Disaster Recovery

That's awesome dude! It is so important to have wills and other plans in place... you hear so many horror stories of the government just keeping everything because someone didn't have a will or appropriate legal documentation completed. Well done (or should I say will done)!

One of our friends had her husband die of cancer before we met her, and it literally took her 5 years to untangle the mess he had left... and even though she'll love him forever, she is still just so angry and frustrated that he didn't prepare for her. That's definitely not a legacy I want to leave behind.

Yeah for sure it's crucial to have these things especially as we get in marriages and things like that.

Thankfully we did a living will many years ago - as well as critical care decisions such as if we want to be put on life support or not. It’s really painful to hear of your friend experience but sadly I would say it’s not uncommon for that to happen.. what a shame!

What the activity for me really was making sure I provided instructions of what the things mean since my wife doesn’t have a real interest in anything digital assets. Going through them, explaining and all that wasn’t easy but it’s important to have her know in case something happens! I certainly slept a little easier knowing that I provided her a good overview of things, with the proper safe guards of course so that it’s not something someone can just pick up lol.

Had a lot of stuff like this with the families of my parents, and thats just because i like do my own stuff. And don't mess with the ideas and decisions others take in her life

It's not easy that's for sure!
