So the punting in Cambridge reminds me of the 2 days spent in Venice with my family. It was in the summer of 2014. Now I would like to share this photo journal with you. :) Let these images talk for me.

This is amazing. The place is so beautiful and it was many years ago, for sure it became more developed and beautiful these days.
It was already very developed years ago, and it has been suffering from over-tourism and recently a drought as well:

Oh how sad. Hopefully it can recover soon and will show it's beauty again.
Is this the Venice William Shakespeare talked about in his book Merchant of Venice?🙂
The city is so beautiful
Yep, the one and only. :)
Thanks for the great pics. I love Venice and want to return there one day. Have you been to the Lido?
The water taxis are a great way of seeing the city.
You mean the island where the Venice Film Festival takes place right? I haven't been there, and I would love to visit it one day!
Hermoso, solo veo las fotos y recuerdo todos estos artistas, pintores y poetas que visitaron este hermoso lugar y crearon sus obras.
Si, esta ciudad es fuente de inspiración para muchas obras.
😍it loved each picture, thanks for sharing with us this experience
You are very welcome.
💞💞🌻 thanks
This takes me back - I went there with friends, like a boys weekend trip - not exactly the romantic journey you'd expect!
I think it was better that way, the romantic nature of it didn't really capture me so much as all the tourism. Granted, some of those making the masks for example are genuinely skilled and talented, but when there's 500 of you in such a small area, it becomes a bit gimmicky.
Venice was still awesome though - especially when we explored the more residential places and found this seemingly invisible winery which distilled its own and had the barrels in store to try - at a super cheap price! 10x cheaper than the tourist spots and obviously walking distance away.
The secrets in Venice it what is truly charming, to me
I agree, and I'd rather go to a quieter place for a romantic journey.
I heard the Veneto is a famous wine region, glad to read that you found a cool winery there.
My stay was so short that I wasn't able to scratch enough surface of the obvious gems, not to say the hidden ones. ;))
I got to visit Venice for 4 days too in November and it felt like such a chill place for a tourist! Safe, beautiful, and very welcoming! Can't wait to start writing about my experience as well :)
4 days is a bit longer than my stay, you must have a lot to write about... so much cool stuff there that I feel I need at least a few weeks to explore more in depth.
Yes and no, because both the first and last day I kind of didn't feel because of the flight which was either too early or too late. But it was a great vacation I'd love to repeat one day for sure!

Ahh yes, Venice. Did you know they chopped and actually steal all the wood from Slovenia region Kras just to make this city? Since then we have had harsh winds and a special micro climate in that region. How dared they? :)
Ah really? That sounds so bad for you guys! So that's how they laid all the wooden pile foundations...
