The northern Italian region of Lombardy is famous for its large celebrity lakes such as Lake Maggiore, Lake Como, and Lake Garda. By "celebrity," I mean not only the lakes themselves, but also celebrities who have been drawn to these lake shores since the 18th century's Grand Tour.
However, there are many smaller, lesser-known lakes in the area as well. They are equally lovely and more peaceful. Today I will introduce such a lake to you. The Lago di Monate is a small lake between Lake Maggiore and Lake Varese. It has a surface area of only 2.5 km².
The water quality here is monitored on a regular basis, and no motorised boats are permitted. As a result, this shallow lake is ideal for swimming and other not so exciting water activities, such as paddle boating and stand-up paddling. Of course, you can do even more relaxing boring stuff like sunbathing and strolling on the beach...
Cadrezzate, Comabbio, Osmate, and Travedona-Monate are the four towns that border Lake Monate. They provide lake access and also host fairs and festivals. Some sections of the lakeshore are privately owned by villas. Personally, I believe these properties are better options than those by larger, busier lakes.
We parked in Cadrezzate, between La Locanda Beach and Il Larice Club, next to a green leafy public park. It's a very quiet location. We had an inflatable SUP board with us, and paddling on the lake during golden hour was a lot of fun. :) On the way back to the shore, along with the spectacular sunset vista, there were a few ducks swimming by, and a flock of swans too!
Canoes and paddle boats can be rented at Il Larice Club nearby, as well as volleyball, basketball, and ping-pong facilities. You can also get food and drinks at the Bistrot del Lago and La Playa Beach a bit further.
好开心啊好开心～ 一到意呆立，特别是有山有水的地方，特别是天气暖和的时候，就会莫名开心。:D 以前来过北部几个明星大湖，比如马乔雷湖、科莫湖和加尔达湖 。但其实伦巴第大区还有许多不太知名的小湖泊。同样风景迷人，而且更加宁静。今天就来介绍这样一个小湖，名叫蒙纳特湖。这湖位于马乔雷湖和瓦雷泽湖之间，面积只有2.5平方公里。
这里的水质定期受到监测，也不允许机动船只在湖面航行。因此，这个干净的小浅湖是个游泳和划船的好地方。我们开到湖畔小镇Cadrezzate，停在一个绿树成荫的公园旁边。先在园里走了一圈，附近还有个教堂、幼儿园和几条安静的小街。然后又在房车里工作了一下午，处理完一些事情后，终于可以去湖里撒欢啦。
在波多黎各住水边的时候，经常玩SUP划水桨板，所以回来后索性买了个充气的，出门去水边就常带着，这次正好派上用场。给划水板充好气后，就奔向湖里。说是stand-up paddling站呆立划水板，但是站着站着有点累了，最后就变成静坐划水板XD。等到划回岸边的时候，赶上日落，波光粼粼的湖面碎金点点，平静的水面不时有天鹅🦢和野鸭游过。
附近的Larice Club也可以租到独木舟和划艇，还有排球、篮球和乒乓球等设施。更远一点的沙滩小吧有吃喝供应。总之，这小湖是个很不错的休闲去处，必须推荐:)。
