If you're wondering where to try Spanish rice dishes in Altea, Restaurant Tossal Roig is a good option. Aside from the well-known paella, other choices such as arroz caldoso are available.
Arroz caldoso, which roughly translates as "brothy rice," is a rice dish popular throughout the Iberian Peninsula, including Portugal. Oh, how I miss the seafood rice from Portugal! :)
We tried the hearty octopus and vegetable rice here, and I enjoyed savouring the broth in its lovely courtyard with the endless sunshine.

Looks good!
🙂
The broth rice or arroz caldozo is very familiar to us Filipinos(Philippines) because we were colonized by the spaniards for 333 years. What a history!
And it is best eaten during rainy days.
That's interesting to know. I also liked the garlic rice in the Philippines that was often served at breakfast. :)
Ohhh that's yummy too.
