粉刺外治方的用药特点
辛散祛风：细辛、白芷、防风、杜衡、水萍、升麻、藁本、荆芥、独活、杏仁、白附子、白蒺藜、白僵蚕等。
辛夷治面上生䵟疱。藁本治皮肤疵皯、酒渣、粉刺。浮萍治粉刺、汗斑。
治血引滞：麝香、川芎、当归、芍药、牛夕、乳香、益母草、木香、青木香。
粉刺洗剂：细辛、白芷、浮萍、升麻、藁本、蒺藜、天虫、白附子、当归、川芎、益母草、乳香、木香，水煎熏洗。2次/日可。可加黄连、栀子、蛇床子、明矾。
辛散祛风药与活血引滞药配合使用。

清热化湿药与解毒散结药的运用：
清热除湿药：黄连、赤小豆、牡蛎、蛇床子、水萍、矾石、滑石、生菟丝。
清热解毒药：大黄、牛黄、栀子、白蔹、铝粉、水银、陀生、轻粉、硫磺、雄黄、光明砂（丹砂中之最上者）
痤疮1号：栀子、白蔹、铅粉、轻粉、水银、白芷、辛夷、白附子、杏仁。
痤疮2号：大黄、黄芪、栀子、白蔹、铝粉、轻粉、白芷、杏仁、水银。
