Once in a while, my husband and I like to do some op shopping at Salvation Army, Vinnies etc in particular to look out for some cool books. Most of the books we find that gets donated are pretty new with some even brand new at a fraction of the price and the money goes to a good cause. We find that the formal and proper second book stores are too expensive. They do have more options in books but they could be x5 the price at least. The feeling of hunting something down and then finding a gem makes the whole experience really good.
有時候我家老公喜歡到不同救世軍的家品店看看有什麼舊書可以買回家. 捐書的人通常都會捐一些比較新或全新的書給這些慈善機構所以我們比較喜歡到這裏買書亦可以知道這些錢會用來幫助別人. 如果到一般二手書店價錢會比較貴所以到這類地方買書好像尋寶一樣而且可以幫助別人一舉兩得.
While my husband goes to the book section I went to browse around quickly. Lots of old school Knick knacks for those love collecting vintage stuff. A lot of other random stuff which you may be able to find some gems if you are lucky.
今次我們到這家超大的救世軍家品店. 我老公已經一支箭到舊書這邊看有什麼好東西而我就隨便看看有什麼新玩意. 我比較喜歡看一些懷舊東西有時候都會找到一些寶.
This store is massive so they even sell sofa, tables, cabinets and more. I love the cabinet with the old school gaming consoles. Some of them are so old I’ve never seen them before.
這間店非常大所以都會賣一些舊沙發，桌子，一些櫃等等. 我比較喜歡看這裏的舊遊戲機因為有一些真是比較 ‘古董級’ 覺得很有趣.
Here is the book section. Hubby in his own world choosing everything and we ended up with $50 worth of books. Not bad but I find this salvo is a little more expensive to the other ones we’ve been for books but the money goes back to help the needy it is not an issue at all.
帶你們看賣舊書的地方. 我老公已經進入他自己的世界，最後買了大概 $50 的舊書. 覺得這個價錢不錯但這間比另外其他區的價錢比較貴一點但這些錢用來做善事和幫助到別人我們覺得沒有問題.
