Yes, prices have been going up recently here in Japan too. I usually avoid expensive restaurants in the city, but this unagi (eel) restaurant is close to my home and reasonably priced. We went out this time to celebrate a special occasion, but I'm not sure if we can go next year, as prices keep rising.
