Everyone knows the situation of the country, Everyone needs an escape route. There is famine in the land as well as the lack of jobs, basic amenities, and a good standard of living.

I have made quite a fortune from online social media. I refer to the good old 'Uptrennd' and to be honest if everyone knows about the untapped wealth in this sect of the economy, it would be beneficial to our economy and the society at large as we would no longer sit and wait for the government to put food on our table.

It's my first contest and 2nd post on hive. still trying to learn the robes of this platform. I am sure to get it real soon and thrive in here as I should.

Ok, here are a few points I think would be of great help to the Nigerian Community.

  1. Use Facebook to our Good - everyone is on Facebook. We all while away our time on Facebook and other social media when we are less busy and need a distraction. Some people actually spend their whole day there doing nothing. How about, we get to advertise hive on Facebook. For instance, every Nigerian hiveians, get to make a post about making money here on hive, it would be published on hive and shared on Facebook, and Twitter. This way, we are able to capture our audience and others.

  2. **Meetups **- Meetups are beautiful. If all Nigerian hiveians have a meetup in a choiced location, we would make so much noise about it, organize giveaways for newbies, and most importantly highlights the benefits of hive to the public.

For the majority, it would be an issue of wanting an escape route. We are all tired. hahahah

So, luring them dangling money in their faces would be all they need to grow this community. Afterall, it's a beautiful place already. When they get in, they would see for themselves and realize it had been a waste of time at other social media platforms

Meanwhile have you heard of @dreemer

The economy isn’t getting any better hence the need to look for another source of income. Waiting for the government to provide jobs or means of survival isn’t working so we have to take the bull by the horn (so to say). Introducing people to hive can help make the economy better because many people will have food on their table.
Your points are valid and we should work toward creating awareness through social media platforms like Facebook. Rather than spend time chatting on other social media platforms that don’t earn money, spending time on Hive is very productive and hence, the best place to spend your time.

U are welcome to this platform, the economy of the country as really pushed lot of Nigerians in to this great community...and we are glad to be here

Feedback from the July 1st Hive Power Up Day - ATH Volume record!

These are really awesome points you mentioned. Yes, utilizing the power of other social media is one sure route to take. Facebook is one. There's Instagram and of course Twitter. These are powerful tools.

How about posting a link of your Hive posts over to Facebook and other social media while using the #hivenaija tag? That would definitely unite all the other hive users on these social media and get people asking questions.

A hive meetup is also a great idea. I know during the early days of Steemit, there were meetups in Port Harcourt and other places. We haven't had that with Hive. This is an awesome idea to bring up. Are you on our Discord group? Kidly join if you aren't. There's so much you could contribute there.

Thank you for taking part in this week's contest.
