To start with, I'm not really sure about the quality of the war equipments in Nigeria's possession because our knowledge of how insurgency is being handled has suggested that the forces are under equipped and this makes us more vulnerable as a nation. Realistically speaking, I don't think any nation will think of invading our territory because we are not a threat to anyone and we don't have much power that can attract the big boys. Our internal conflict is more than enough for us.
I can't really say what I'm gonna do but I'll definitely not leave here. Where will I even run to. Even if I wanna leave, will I go with my whole family? How realistic will this be.
On a second thought, will it worth it to stay with Nigeria during a war?? Ukrainian civilians are picking up arms to help their country against Russia probably because they live a worthwhile daily live and are ready to die for the country.
What will be my gain if I die for Nigeria?? May be we'll all have no choice than to fight anyways because I'm more than convinced this government will most likely close all exit portals to ensure everyone remain here probably after relocating their own children.
My main aim will be to survive with my family at all cost.
I really don't know how I'm gonna react. Agitated? May be but I'll still be calm. My first response will be to think of the best possible place to be within the country. Its not likely the whole country will be invaded at the same time. I'll then think of how to get basic supply for my family especially food that can sustain us for as long as possible. Resources will definitely be scarce and it will be survival of the fittest.
Like I said, I'll not likely leave Nigeria and I'll also not be at the heat of the war. We all don't need to carry arms to participate and help. We can all help with what we know how to do best.
I'll definitely be among those that will care for the wounded. Being able to render adequate care might be a challenge because aside the personnel, the health sector has no proper architect and equipments for a normal day not to talk of days of war. Covid-19 was an eye opener to this.
I can also help with the media update especially online platforms like hive.
Here on hive, I'm currently following a lady from Ukraine who updates us daily with facts and real events per time in her own locality. Anyone in the position to help in anyway may come across it. That's the power of the Internet.I also noticed her fanbase, upvotes and engagement is increasing daily since the war started and this is because People will prefer 1st hand information in such sitiations and no one knows how wide it can go.
I'm sure the precidency will be shocked at first because they are always shocked at the news of any bad happenings in the country. Lol...
I don't really want to imagine how they'll respond after recovering from the shock of the news.
As regards humanitarian welfare, I don't expect anything from them because there'll be an excuse of lack of funds. Everyone will have to sort out their basic needs themselves.
They'll definitely mobilize the military and other forces to engage with the opponent.
The main challenge will be the equipments to use but Who knows if boko haram and the likes will voluntarily join forces with us to fight a common enemy, maybe then we can boast of up to date war equipment and stand a chance to survive.
I really will not have my hopes high. If no one comes to our rescue and help us, or the war gets suspended on time, that might be the end for Nigeria. This is not even debatable. Anyways, we believe so much in God and there's nothing he can't do. He alone can help is out.
Having said all these, war must not happen in Nigeria oo.
All I've written are mere imaginations while on my seat in a chilling office. The real scenarios will be worse and very chaotic. May God continue to help us.

It should not just happen oo
I tried thinking it sometimes, where are we going to run to
Even if we decide to fight, where weapon ?
Where hospitals to treat injured soldiers
This is not a country that can face war
The leaders will just pick the next available flight and citizens can help themselves
MAKE GOD NOR ALLOW HIM CHILDREN SEE BAD THINGS😁😁
Awesome Post brother, keep it up
That's our only prayer for Nigeria oo. No weapon and structure in place oo
Thank God I'm not the only one that thought in this direction. They'll definitely be selfish about it.
God should just continue to help us.
Thanks for the comments😎
Amen oo
You're welcome Brother
I think it's necessary we pick up one or two things from the Ukraine situation. That way we can also prepare should it happen(but it will never). War is never a good thing and I'm sure it'll spell disaster for this country considering our backward pedal daily.
The situation in Ukraine really opened my eyes to some things. My fear for Nigeria is that the structure of the system is not good or better still not functional. Just wondering how we would have prepared if we were to be Ukraine.
Ewooooeee
Simple. We'd have been prepared to die! 😑
Lol
Exactly
