Android software has evolved overtime to the point you can place voice command on your smartphone to carry out any task just like you see in Sci-Fi movies.
Task like scheduling appointments, setting up alarms, events, meetings and many more. The thrilling part is that you can even hold conversation with your smartphone.
Isn't that crazy? 😁
Yes it sounds silly, like how can that be, having conversation with your smartphone?. It sounds like a fairytale in Disney comic series, like hologram devices we see in the movies where smartphones appear in a light field display form as though it is hanging in balance.
This is where the tech world is heading to, bringing into reality our wildest imaginations. And that is what the metaverse is all about.
The metaverse is a place in the internet where we can see, touch, feel and interact with each other in a virtual space.
So instead of sharing post on social media, having chitchat with each other via text, voice calls or video calls, in the metaverse, we would be involved into the internet. It's like seeing yourself inside Facebook doing the interaction all by yourself just like the real world.
This can be achieved with the help of Virtual Reality headphones (VR), enhanced glasses and kits etc. In the metaverse you can attend parties, meetings, shop online and it would feel as though it is real live.
Sounds like science fiction in movies 😁
Did I just digress from the subject of the post? 🤔
I had to dive in a little into the trend of metaverse just to shade light on where the digital world is going. Our fantasies are becoming a reality.
The metaverse system is already in place. By next year we would be seeing substantial changes gearing towards this direction followed by news of respective tech companies launching their metaverse platforms. No wonder Facebook has set the tone by changing it's name (on paper) to Meta.
To get little visual idea of the metaverse, watch the movie "Ready Player one (2018)" it would help you understand first hand the concept of metaverse. Another movie to watch is "Free Guy (2021)", these two movies are perfect example of what the gaming metaverse would look like.
Back to the purpose of writing this post (Excuse my diversion 😁)...
Now on how to search for songs (music) playing in the background without using Shazam, you can do this by placing a voice command asking Google Assistant to listen and search for the background song.
How does this work?
Launch your Google Assistant app by holding your home key for 2 secs, the app will launch with a short interface at the bottom of your screen.
Then say this command immediately "Ok Google search for the song playing in the background" google assistant will activate it's listening bot automatically, search and display the song for you in seconds.
Another way to achieve this result is to launch your Google app by clicking on the app directly, then after the app has launched voice out the command as stated above and you will have your song.
To know for sure if this works, try out with a song you are familiar with, you would be surprise.
PS. This will work only on devices that have Google Assistant pre installed or installed. Android version 9 - 11 comes with Google assistant pre installed.
