It was my best friend's birthday yesterday and she threw a little party. As her right-hand lady, I had to help prepare everything.
The party was supposed to start by 2 pm, so I started my day by working on some crochet orders that I have pending. We initially agreed to meet at her place by 11 am so we could start preparing before the guests arrive.
Well, that didn't happen because she had to take her cousin to the jamb center for her exam and it wasn't concluded on time. We eventually met up by 2 pm. At that time some people like @nonsowrites and some of our friends had already arrived.
We asked them to wait in the living rooms while we went out to prepare our spot for the party. That took another 2 hours of running around and when we were finally set we asked them to come out.

Before then other people had arrived too so it was just a series of apologies and hoping they'd understand. Before long we started serving the food and the party officially started.
She turned a year older yesterday so it was a big thing for all of us who came to celebrate with her. After serving I decided to take a break and eat since I hadn't eaten all day.
I didn't finish my food before I was called to take pictures 😂😂 well, I joined them and we took some nice pictures.
@nonsowrites did a good job of ignoring me all day and staying on his phone all day🥺 (talking about proof of brain)
There was this little champ who followed me everywhere during the party. Cute little boy, so I asked if he wanted to take a pic with me and he said yes! So we took this one🤭
During all my running around I accidentally broke @nonsowrites phone🥺🥺. I felt bad for him because he doesn't like any dent on his phone and this was worse than a scratch but he told me not to worry about it.
We ended the day by just chilling and talking and when all the guests had gone, we ordered a ride and went home too.
Overall I enjoyed myself - though I was a bit stressed, but it's my best friend. I'd do anything for her. I'm also glad she enjoyed her day, she received many gifts which made her very happy!
