Nigerian Afro beats sensation Oxlade shocked Nigerians with the release of an assortment of explicit videos last night which have set the Nigerian Twitter space ablaze.
Ladies are currently calling their spouses and demanding to be oxladed for Valentine’s day (I apologize in advance for this joke).

Woke Nigerians are calling out his fans for reacting encouragingly instead of bashing the artist Luke everyone did when similar events unfolded with Tiwa savage…this is my take on the issue.

We all know that when it comes to sex the world has different standards for men than it has for women, whilst the double standard is unfortunatel it is what it is. Women are held to a higher moral standard than men as far as sex is concerned.

When Tiwa Savages sex tape flooded the internet she received a lot of back lash and crictisim for it as expected but it is also worth noting that a lot of her colleagues in the industry rallied behind her and showed her a lot of moral support, behind the backlash and stigma a generally associated with such an act the internet was quite fair to her. Whilst there were no girls running out their hostels chanting her name, they were several posts of solidarity from a lot of people.

It is also worth noting that Tiwa is almost twice Oxlade’s age therefore people are more likely to write off any misdemeanors from him as youthful exuberance and naivety whilst believing that she should know better since she is older.

The act itself will always come with backlash, even less explicit acts from celebrities like a change of look or embarking on a new project are subject to public scrutiny and ridicule in some cases.
People will talk, a few days ago fans trolled Roddy rich until he disabled his social media just because he posted a snippet of a song!!! Social media gives everyone a right to air their opinions on whatever, if you put your business on social media or it gets there somehow then you are responsible for the events that follow.

I am a huge Tiwa savage fan and her tape leaking did not stop me from attending her concert in December, likewise as a huge oxlade fan it will take more than 6 videos I wish I hadn’t seen to stop me from listening to the amazing music he makes.

We have to understand that before these people are celebrities they are humans first and every single one of us has a freaky side. If you haven’t found yours yet then you probably haven’t met the right person. does that mean record such videos on snap chat for whatever reason? Absolutely not.
If one however chooses to he accepts the consequences that come with the videos becoming public.

We should try to be understanding at the very least because as long as we are humans we are bound to make mistakes. “Judge not so that thee may not be judged”…And stop making explicit videos on snap chat!!!
Looking forward to oxlade’s next album.

You know the most painful thing? The people who would be involved in the act of "righteousness" on Social media (backlashing at Tiwa) have done worse.

The song Simi sang about Woman is very true. Women bear the brunt of everything. Nothing she does is ever good for society especially in this part of the world. A woman talks she has no manners, she keeps quiet she has no respect. A woman is raped she's at fault. She is killed it turns to a video of "she wants to chill with the big boys". Smh. She gets pregnant by an asshole who leaves her, she's at fault for not keeping her legs closed or not keeping the home. Honestly, it's no wonder why women these days are heartless. Extremely heartless. Nice post by the way

If only God can make all secret deeds open for just a day, then we all won't be so bold to condemn any of this wrong doings
