I love holding the mic and getting in the spirit of the stage.
Yesterday Wednesday was a nice one in church. Since I returned for holidays from school, it has been going to rehearsals from time to time. I really haven't wielded the mic until yesterday Wednesday. We sang 'Status' by Vashawn Mitchell and I was chosen to lead. I was given enough time as I scored the song for a week before we actually started rehearsing for it. From one slur to riff and runs and head voice (that's if my choir director didn't want to add leg voice to it.) I rehearsed and did it in his presence from time to time. If it was a lady, I would have known how to go about it but this one, man and man. Hehe. Well the good news is that it came out well. When my teacher in my nursery School taught us the 'hardwork pays' poem it didn't mean anything to me until these few days.
My people, I sang and my pastor stood up. I mean a man that hardly stands up during a ministration. He'll just sit and nod his head, clap to the song and move his legs but, guy, he stood up. Spirituality aside, I got shock while on stage when I turned to see him standing. I'm like "is this for real?" Brethren, that wasn't even the shock of the day, our elder and all those at the holy places stood up. Hehe. It always seem like they had a meeting every service day not to stand up during any ministration and we all got used to it. Well, I thank God it went well. All I said in my spirit was "it is well."
I did my best, prayed and the rest was taken care of.
I should take me out this Friday cause that "it wasn't easy, but it was worth it" song will be on repeat for a month. I don try.
Anyways, this is to say that I'm back to hive block chain and we will be rocking real good. Hop into my blog and find some intriguing stories and things to learn. @kistarry01
