A wrap up of the years activities with our hive hangout

in Speak Peace • 3 years ago

I should have made this post earlier but I got engaged with my developer activities😪

It was a great time during the hangout, we had the opportunity to have fun and shed off some of the stress we went through this past year in school. As I'm an engineering student, we didn't have the opportunity to go on holidays last session we stayed in school for a compulsory Student Work Experience Programme (SWEP), coupled with my developer and founder role. It was a good opportunity to take the break off work and I loved it.

With all the preparations that went down into making sure we had a successful and nice hangout, big thanks to @starstrings01 and @monioluwa.

That faithful Saturday morning started well with me waking up a bit late after staying up late and trying to wrap up a few tasks.
We agreed to meet up with the bus that was to transport us by 10 am and then set out for our journey to OOPL, our hangout venue.

Even though we had agreed for everyone to come around by 9:30-10:00 am, we still had to wait for a few of us like @code-redex and a few others.

We did set out for our journey around 11 am and then arrived at OOPL by 11:30 am there about.

Upon arrival at OOPL we paid a visit to the zoo, of which we had to pay #1000 (a thousand naira) as gate fee

We payed a visit to the zoo where we saw a number of animals from a lion, pelican, goose, emu(the cousin to the ostrich), donkey, horse, python, monitor lizard, jackal, hyenas and many others.

Then after visiting the zoo we did spend some moments to take more photos while we waited to get our tickets for the Spiderman far from home movie. "Highlights of the movie for me: I'm looking for my own MJ"😀

@ijohnsen rocking it here.

After 2 hours of watching the movie we decided to begin our journey back to school where we enjoyed the food that was planned for us. Though some issues came up with how we would get the food, as the vendor sent it through a cab, instead of a delivery bike, so we had to meet the driver on the way.

Pictures of we enjoying our meal below.

For many of us this hangout won't have been made possible without we joining hive. The hive platform has allowed me to meet people, blog and engage posts while earning money from it.

It was a great opportunity for everyone want to appreciate all our community members who made themselves available.@starstring01, @heskay, @mayorkeys, @ijohnsen, @hephziba, @monioluwa, @painokills, @tkrypt, @chosenfingers, @franchiscm, @tblings-art, @annisignature , @dominion-yusuf, @like-mind, @temibot, @vheekthorjay,@manuel6 and many more. It was truly a time of merriment.

We hope to do more and impact more lives with hive while growing our hive community next year.
