DIARY OF A YOUNG MEDIC

images.jpeg

For a while i have had the habit of convincing myself that i don't have enough to help out the way i would love too. I said to myself a lot Jojo, just wait till you hit that 6 figure income then you would have enough for yourself and for those around you.

Then something beautiful happened, i work as a medic in UCH Ibadan and after attending to a patient for some weeks he was fit for discharge. The wife came to me and told me thank you for working with so much compassion and commitment. She went ahead to take my number and said she would love to keep in touch.

At this point i knew it wasn't all about having so much to give its about the little things we do to put a smile on the faces of others.

IN OUR FAMILIES

It's about always keeping in touch no matter the distance, always letting them know how much we love them and how much they have been an important part of the journey towards success. Its also about letting them know they can count on us anytime and anyday.
That's what truly matters

AMONGST OUR FRIENDS

We can ensure that we always reach out, always give a listening ear and be wiling to help out when we can. We can celebrate little wins and support each other to achieve more.

IN OUR WORKPLACE

We can put our best to service, keeping to rules like punctuality, availability and building a good work ethic.

IN OUR COUNTRY
We can achieve a lot by obeying simple rules like disposing waste at appropriate sites to ensure environmental sanitation and prevent pollution, obeying traffic rules and regulations, engaging in our civic responsibilities like casting our votes during election periods thereby making the country better.

As we can see all these do not require having so much but it goes a long way to make the next person happy, creates a beautiful, peaceful and loving environment where everyone can reach their full potentials.

I hope we will all be commited to these things that may seem simple but are actually what matters most.
So as we step out lets look for that little thing we can do to cause a positive change, we don't have to wait till we have so much, the time is now.
Thanks for reading.
