La música es un arte que tiene la gran capacidad de llegar al corazón, te mueve emocionalmente hablando, te puede hacer llorar, sonreír o recordar. Uno como persona dota de gran valor a las canciones porque pueden representar un momento de tu vida, un estado de ánimo o rememorar a esa persona especial.
Por eso en este post quiero contarles cuales son mis 3 canciones favoritas. Esta decisión no fue sencilla porque lógicamente no tengo solo 3 favoritas, debo tener quizás al menos 10 o 15, pero aquí vamos a hablar solo de 3. Cuando pensé en cuales elegir tuve una clara desde el primer momento y el resto me costó mucho más, así que para facilitar mi elección me quede con la primera que llego a mi mente y luego elegí una que me generara más emoción que reflexión (lo cual es lo que ocurre con la primera) y la última sería una propia del folklore de mi país Venezuela, lo cual me ayudo a aclarar bastante mis ideas.
La primera canción se llama “Sinceramente tuyo” de Joan Manuel Serrat, quien es un cantautor y músico español, esta canción pertenece a su disco homónimo publicado en 1986.
Esta canción trata de honestidad, valentía y aceptación, su protagonista pide a alguien importante, que no elija solo una parte de él, que lo acepte por completo, en todas sus facetas, le aclara que no se equivoque que es sinceramente suyo pero siempre y cuando lo acepte tal y como es. La canción deja ver que él esta claro y comprometido con su forma de ser y proceder y que la otra persona de alguna manera no logra aceptarlo. Finalmente sufren ambos, él por no poder complacerla y ser quien ella quiere, y ella por no lograr que él sea como ella necesita.
Uno de los mensajes claves y más destacado de toda la canción es mantenerse fiel a uno mismo, no ocultarse, no fingir, si buscar mejorar, pero no ser quien uno no es ni si quiera por complacer a otro. Se transmite de forma clara y poderosa por el contraste que hay entre lo que se exige de él, lo importante que es la persona que se lo pide, lo cual se evidencia por el sufrimiento que le causa verla llorar y su posición al respecto, la cual es su compromiso con seguir siendo tal cual es.
El otro mensaje importantísimo de la canción se resume en una de sus líneas “Nunca es triste la verdad, lo que no tiene es remedio” encerrando de principio a fin toda su canción: este soy yo, no hay más, puedo mejorar, no voy a ocultarme, no voy fingir ser alguien más, esta es la verdad, y este hecho no es triste, no llores, lo que se debe hacer es aceptarlo porque no va a cambiar.
Sin duda una sencilla pero poderosa canción, que trasmite mucho a aquellos que se han sentido en la obligación de ocultar un parte de si para poder encajar o pertenecer, una invitación a la valentía, determinación y coherencia, que les invito a escuchar.
La segunda canción es “Sin título (cómo esto pudo pasarme a mi)” de la banda de rock canadiense Simple Plan, de su álbum “Sigo sin recibir nada” (Still not getting any…).
Esta canción me gusta mucho tanto por su poderosa letra como por su video y es imposible hablar de una sin hablar de lo otro. La letra cuenta la historia de alguien desesperado, atormentado y perdido, no sabe como llego a ese punto donde está, quisiera que alguien notase que se siente destruido, regresar a un punto donde las cosas fuesen mas sencillas y dice estar harto de la vida.
El video cuenta la historia de como este chico destruido conduce en total estado de embriaguez, de manera totalmente inconsciente hasta chocar con otro carro. Mientras simultáneamente se ve la vida de una chica y su familia. El video me conmueve inmensamente porque la canción alcanza su climax cuando ambos carros se estrellan, en una escena lenta donde cuadro a cuadro se ve como ambos autos, uno manejado por este personaje destruido y otro por una chica, van inevitablemente a chocar uno contra el otro y justamente cuando impactan y la chica recibe todo el golpe de la colisión vienen varias escenas en la casa de la chica donde cada miembro de la familia se ve impactado al mismo tiempo que los carros chocan.
Este es un mensaje sumamente fuerte porque en el video lo que se busca es concientizar sobre las concecuencias de conducir bajo los efectos del alcohol, y con esa dramatización logran hacer ver que la victima no es solo la persona chocada, sino que también afecta a toda su familia, que no solo se destruye quien sufrió el impacto sino que fácilmente se puede destruir un hogar.
Sumado a su gran letra, espectacular video, está la música de esta canción, lo cual le convierte en una balada con pinceladas de rock, cargada de gran drama, nada menos que esperar de un tema que aborda este gran problema de todas las sociedades sobre el consumo de licor y conducir bajos sus efectos.
La tercera pero no menos importante, es "La pena del Becerrero" del cantautor venezolano de música llanera, mas famoso a nivel mundial, nuestro querido Simón Díaz (Tio Simon) mejor conocido por su canción "Caballo viejo".
En la tonada "La pena del Becerrero" se habla del amor o mas bien del primer amor, desde el punto de vista del becerrero, el cual es él que se encarga de cuidar a los becerros, a las vacas y hacer otras actividades propias de un hato venezolano, como preparar queso, etc.
Esta canción es hermosa porque describe desde la cotidianidad de los llaneros esa fuerza intempestiva de enamorarse, como con frecuencia te mueve el piso y todos sus cimientos. Ese es el caso de nuestro becerrero, que debe cumplir algunas tareas rutinarias propias del trabajo en un hato, como atender a las vacas, ordeñarlas, atenderlas en los partos y a las crías, hacer queso y suero y todas estas actividades las hacia bien hasta que se enamora.
Es a partir de este momento en que todo comienza a salirle mal y la letra lo explica muy bien en tres estrofas distintas de las cuales podría citar estas frases "Becerrero con una pena en el alma, abre la puerta al tranquero pa' que la pena se vaya" como si abriendo el tranquero iba a poder sacar todo lo que tenia en su corazón. "Se le murió un becerrito recién nacido porque no lo curo a tiempo" triste noticia para cualquier becerrero ya que son los responsables de curarle el ombligo a las crías de la vaca para que no se les infecten. "Se le mamaron las vacas" lo cual ocurre al no separar a los becerros de las vacas luego del ordeño y es una de las peores cosas que le puede ocurrir a un becerrero.
La canción es una hermosa pieza del folklore venezolano, ya que de una manera atrapante te va diciendo a todo lo que se dedica un becerrero y el drama de haberse enamorado por primera vez. Te transporta a sentir lo que esta sintiendo este muchacho que se ha enamorado y ahora le sale todo mal al punto de querer deshacerse de ese sentimiento.

Music is an art that has the great ability to reach the heart, it moves you emotionally, it can make you cry, smile or remember. One as a person gives great value to the songs because they can represent a moment of your life, a mood or remember that special person.
That's why in this post I want to tell you which are my 3 favorite songs. This decision was not easy because logically I do not have only 3 favorites, I must have maybe at least 10 or 15, but here we will talk about only 3. When I thought about which ones to choose I had a clear one from the first moment and the rest cost me much more, so to facilitate my choice I stayed with the first that came to my mind and then I chose one that generated more emotion than reflection (which is what happens with the first) and the last one would be a typical of the folklore of my country Venezuela, which helped me to clarify my ideas quite a lot.
The first song is called "Sincerely yours" by Joan Manuel Serrat, who is a Spanish singer-songwriter and musician, this song belongs to his homonymous album published in 1986.
This song is about honesty, courage and acceptance, its protagonist asks someone important, not to choose only a part of him but to accept him completely, in all his facets, he makes it clear to her not to be mistaken that he is sincerely yours but as long as she accepts him as he is. The song shows that he is clear and committed to his way of being and proceeding and that the other person somehow fails to accept it. In the end they both suffer, he for not being able to please her and be who she wants him to be, and she for not being able to get him to be the way she needs him to be.
One of the key messages of the whole song is to stay true to oneself, not to hide, not to pretend, to seek to improve, but not to be who you are not, not even to please someone else. It is clearly and powerfully conveyed by the contrast between what is demanded of him, how important the person who is asking him is, which is evidenced by the suffering it causes him to see her cry and his position on the matter, which is his commitment to remain as he is.
The other very important message of the song is summarized in one of its lines "The truth is never sad, what has no remedy" enclosing from beginning to end the whole song: this is me, there is no more, I can improve, I will not hide, I will not pretend to be someone else, this is the truth, and this fact is not sad, do not cry, what must be done is to accept it because it will not change.
Undoubtedly a simple but powerful song, that transmits a lot to those who have felt the obligation to hide a part of themselves in order to fit in or belong, an invitation to courage, determination and coherence, that I invite you to listen to.
The second song is "Untitled (how this could happen to me)" by the Canadian rock band Simple Plan, from their album "Still not getting any...".
I really like this song both for its powerful lyrics and its video and it's impossible to talk about one without talking about the other. The lyrics tell the story of someone desperate, tormented and lost, he doesn't know how he got to the point where he is, he would like someone to notice that he feels destroyed, to go back to a point where things were simpler and he says he is fed up with life.
The video tells the story of how this destroyed guy drives in a total state of drunkenness, totally unconscious until he crashes into another car. While simultaneously watching the life of a girl and her family. The video moves me immensely because the song reaches its climax when both cars crash, in a slow scene where frame by frame you see how both cars, one driven by this destroyed character and the other by a girl, will inevitably crash into each other and just when they hit and the girl receives the full impact of the collision come several scenes in the girl's house where each member of the family is impacted at the same time that the cars collide.
This is an extremely strong message because the video seeks to raise awareness about the effects of driving under the influence of alcohol, and with this dramatization they manage to show that the victim is not only the person hit, but also affects the whole family, that not only the person who suffered the impact is destroyed, but a home can easily be destroyed.
In addition to its great lyrics, spectacular video, is the music of this song, which makes it a ballad with touches of rock, full of great drama, nothing less to expect from a theme that addresses this great problem of all societies on the consumption of liquor and driving under its effects.
The third, but not less important, is "La pena del Becerrero" (Calf's sorrow) by the world famous Venezuelan singer-songwriter of llanera music, our beloved Simón Díaz (Tio Simon) best known for his song "Caballo viejo" (Old horse).
The song "La pena del Becerrero" talks about love or rather the first love, from the point of view of the calf farmer, who is in charge of taking care of the calves, cows and other activities of a Venezuelan herd, such as preparing cheese, etc..
This song is beautiful because it describes from the everyday life of the llaneros that untimely force of falling in love, as it often moves the floor and all its foundations. That is the case of our calf farmer, who must fulfill some routine tasks of working in a herd, such as attending to the cows, milking them, taking care of them during calving and calves, making cheese and whey and all these activities he did well until he fell in love.
It is from this moment on that everything starts to go wrong and the lyrics explain it very well in three different stanzas of which I could quote these phrases "Becerrero con una pena en el alma, abre la puerta al tranquero pa' que la pena se vaya" as if by opening the gate he was going to be able to get out everything he had in his heart. "A newborn calf died because he didn't cure it in time" sad news for any calf farmer since they are responsible for curing the navel of the cow's calves so that they don't get infected. The song is a beautiful piece of Venezuelan folklore, as it tells you in a captivating way everything that a calf farmer does and the drama of falling in love for the first time. It transports you to feel what this boy who has fallen in love is feeling and now everything goes wrong to the point of wanting to get rid of that feeling.

Gabi, me ha encantado 💕. De Joan Manuel Serrat nunca había escuchado, aunque con esta reseña la apunto a mi lista por leer. Por otro lado, la reseña sobre lo emotiva de la canción de Simple Plan no me sorprende, aunque no he detallado la letra y el video de esta canción en específico, sí lo he hecho con la de Save You y es simplemente wow, a veces simplemente la evito porque me pone demasiado sentimental jajaja :( Y qué gusto que hayas incluido al Tío Simon 💕, di play al video y automáticamente me transporté a esas mañanitas frías y el olorcito a café hecho por mi mami jajaja.
