Hive Open Mic ( #openmic ) is a global community of music lovers, for music fans and musicians. Each week is a new invitation for expression and connection.
Hive Open Mic
Week 6: May 17-22, 2020
Hive Open Mic is vibrant, with a colorful blend of original songs and fresh remakes. Hive thrives on the collective energy we bring, and I am delighted to witness the buzz. Such a joy to share this musical vibration with all of you. Ow-ow-oWoo!
In my view, this community is a haven for creative expression and genuine connection. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are building a live music movement, celebrating songs with an international audience.
Invitation
"Rainbow Warrior"
The theme for Hive Open Mic Week 6 is: "Rainbow Warrior." To enter this event, you'll express yourself creatively with a song that helps us to explore the current theme. Our weekly theme encourages experimentation, providing a springboard for creativity. Original songs and cover songs are welcomed. All musical forms and genres are OK.
There are ample rewards for participating in the Hive Open Mic. Beyond the sheer enjoyment, musicians earn $ directly and they also earn a fair share of the tip jar. Meanwhile, audience members are the first to hear new music performed by true artists.
Guidelines
- Produce - Begin your video with the words: “This is Hive Open Mic Week [1] and I am [@username],” substituting the current week and your own username, and then you'll sing your song.

- Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation.
- Prosper - Enjoy harmony with the Hive community by engaging with musicians and music fans.

English: You're right—this song does carry deep meaning. I totally relate with that line: "I could see that there are often storms where the cloud is me." I appreciate the illumination I feel in it, doing my humble shadow work, aiming to be a bright, shiny star.

Aw, I love this. I feel this message soothing the child inside me: The teardrops may fall and the fog may darken the sky, but there's sunlight on the other side. And the rainbow follows the storm at dusk and dawn. I'm grateful for it. Perfectly aligning with this week's theme, thank you!
