Hive Open Mic ( #openmic ) is a global community celebrating live music on Hive. Each week is a new event, encouraging musicians to share songs with an international audience.
There is a mystical quality to the act of singing. Beyond its melody and message, singing has connection to the spiritual realm. The idea of communing with Spirit gives me hope in the connection between the physical and the spiritual, inviting a higher presence to listen and respond.
In the Hive Open Mic community, we see that music is a universal language, transcending barriers of culture, language, and belief systems. It has the power to evoke emotions, create a sense of unity, and inspire profound experiences. When we sing, we express from the areas of body, heart, and mind. This space of pure expression invites the invisible ones to gather, listening intently to the vibrations of our voices.
Sound is vibration, and every sound carries its own unique energy. When we sing, we not only emit audible sound waves but also a frequency that extends beyond our bodies. Frequency, infused with our intentions, thoughts, and emotions, connect with the spiritual realm. Just as a ripple in a pond expands outward, our singing creates energetic ripples.
Singing is an integral part of various rituals and ceremonies. From shamanic chants to religious hymns, these practices recognize the power of voice and song in connecting with the divine. In these sacred moments, our singing acts as an invitation for the presence of the Presence. In a group setting, the harmony and unity of multiple voices may amplify this connection, creating a sacred space where spirit and human intermingle.
Singing is an authentic expression of our innermost selves. It allows us to tap into our emotions, desires, and spiritual essence. When we sing with sincerity and vulnerability, we open ourselves up to the invisible world, creating a bridge for Spirit to witness and respond to our longings. If it's true that Spirit listens, then it is likely Spirit also speaks, In this exchange, Spirit acknowledges our presence, offering guidance, protection, and even inspiration in return.
To truly connect with the spiritual realm through singing, it requires more than just the physical act of vocalization. It requires an open heart, willingness to listen, and attunement to the subtle energies around us. It is in these moments of deep listening that we can perceive the response, whether through a sense of peace, inspiration, or a heightened awareness of the Presence.
Singing is a powerful and transformative experience that extends beyond the mere entertainment or self-expression. It has the potential to bridge the gap between the physical and spiritual realms, inviting the presence of higher beings and creating a space for connection, guidance, and inspiration. So, my invitation is this: Remember that your voice carries more than just sound—it carries the potential to touch the very essence of the spiritual realm, allowing spirits to listen and respond to the melodies of your soul.

I'm glad you resonate with the idea of the spiritual connection in music. Music from the heart is a powerful experience. It has a way of touching our souls and connecting us to something greater. Brother I loved the accuracy of your writing regarding the vibration, energy and frequency we emit to connect with this plane and the spiritual.
