I tried singing it with the capo on the 6th fret this time , normally I would play it capoed on the 5th.Lately I've been trying to sing all my songs in a higher key than I was previously able to.
Im not sure if that's progress really ,I just enjoy singing the song.
I definitely think it's progress to explore new territory and stretch ourselves musically. I am totally with you in this. In fact, I just attended a live music event tonight and I got invited on stage to play a song. I sang this new song an octave higher than I'd ever voiced it before, and wow, it took on a whole new energy and vibrancy. I feel the same is true for you.
