My Entry To Hive Open Mic 111 "Vals Villa de Cura" cover by @dyorne

Hello, community, I tell you that yesterday, May 25, 2022, my hometown, Villa de Cura, in the state of Aragua in Venezuela, celebrated 300 years of its foundation. And, since the theme this week is "This Little Town" it seemed very appropriate to sing to my little town in tribute to its anniversary. It was founded on May 25, 1722 by Don Juan de Villegas, grandfather of the Liberator Simón Bolívar. The foundation was made 61 years before the birth of our Liberator who was born on July 24, 1783.
I dedicate this song to the Nigerian people, I join everyone's wish that injustices and problems end in that nation. I hope that its population has the opportunity to improve within their nation and they do not have to cross borders leaving their loved ones behind in search of a better future. May God grant them a bright future and the fortune of having good rulers Government who authentically watch over the well-being of their people.

My beautiful valleys of Aragua,
La Victoria and their women
the blue sea of Turiamo,
its beautiful sunsets,
and if you go to Maracay,
Las Delicias, its beauty
but what I love most about Aragua
is Villa de Cura.

When entering through San Francisco,
La Romana and La Alameda
I arrive at Bolivar Square
surrounded by its trees
Las Mercedes, el Zamuro, el Curita
and its stream
You already understand the reason
for how beautiful my town is.

When the stars shine
and the moon is silver
those are the good nights
to serenade
That's why I tell everyone
with my Cuatro in hand:
I have no more pride
than being from Villa de Cura,
I have no more pride
than being from Villa de Cura.

Very nice! Sorry if I've missed this, but is this a traditional song you're singing?
Congrats on the town's anniversary!
And beautiful it is I'm sure, judging by the palm trees as your backdrop there!
Lovely sung! 👌
