Hello everybody.. 🤗

This week's #openmic theme is "Colorful" which was chosen by @mipiano. Of course we know who she is, she is someone I respect and admire in this community. She is one of the greats in the #hiveopenmic community.

On this week's occasion, I cover a song that was a hit in the early 90s. The band's name is "The Pretenders" with the title track "I'll stand by you". This song was covered by "Rod Stewart" in 2006.

Pretenders are an English-American rock band formed in Hereford, England, in March 1978, emerging from the British post punk movement. The band evolved into a mainly four-piece 'outfit' and has experienced numerous personnel changes, with Chrissie Hynde as the only consistent member.

The lyrics of the song I'll Stand By You tell about a person who promises to always be there for the people she loves under any circumstances. She tries to help him through his dark life. She will always side with the person she loves, even when her partner makes a mistake, she will never leave. This female figure is like someone in my life who has always faithfully accompanied me from my dark life until now my colorful life.

@mipiano I apologize for writing like that. I'm only joking because I think you like to joke. I still remember when you called me "Guitarman" and when I read that I was very happy. It was like the biggest "award" of my life. Honestly I'm a really self-taught guitarist and I feel I'm not good enough at playing guitar. So when you call me "Guitarman" I'm really excited. A great pianist like you gave me the title of Guitarman. So, that's why I thought you were joking. And now I know that I was wrong by saying you're midrum. I think you like jokes like that.
