Hello beautiful people, it's a brand new day and I'm super excited to be here for this weeks contest. So the theme is Carnival and it brings back a whole lot of memories especially my childhood memories and that's my inspiration behind this song today.
I'll be doing a cover of #Memories by Maroon5 and I remain, my humble self #Harvodey.
Back to my childhood memories of carnival, I remember it was usually doing Christmas/ new year Eve. You realize we are in the festive period when we begging to here sounds so knockout- we call it *banger here in my community.
Most times the youths in each community will decorate the street with ribbons and balloons and every where will be looking beautiful, then a day to the carnival, you begin to here sounds of music, cause there will be speakers every where and they usually make a vest, sometimes cap with the name of the community on it.
Ok the day of the carnival which is the deed day, there will be loud music, canopies, they sometimes put a barrier on the road to prevent vehicles, because of the large population, my parents usually prevent us from going because they mostly end up causing commotion after getting drunk. A carnival I remember vividly, my sis and I snuck out, just to see the event and there was lot of fun, but we had to rush back home so our parents won't know we did attended, just about few minutes after our arrival at home, we heard noise from the carnival ground that they broke e bottle on a guy's head and he was rushed through the front of our house bleeding seriously to the hospital, that was the last time I attended a carnival, i just listen to their event through the speakers, thank God he survived but with sever injuries.
