Global harmony is our mission. World peace is our vision. Our community's weekly open mic event attracts enthusiastic musicians and listeners. Our virtual song circle reaches globally, while upholding the classic pattern of a traditional open mic event. At the end of each week, we celebrate the music with a Community Concert.
Everyone is welcome here in our haven for expression and connection. We welcome music fans and casual listeners, while holding space for musicians of every style and any skill level. Here, music lovers build real relationships worldwide. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are building a more harmonious world by sharing our enjoyment of music.
For the 109th week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "Paper Kites." This theme is chosen by Spotlight Artist @elisonr13, referring to the freedom to imagine, create, feel and communicate freely. Everyone is encouraged to share the collective current as we express and connect through: Paper Kites.
“Paper Kites”
This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Paper Kites.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists, sharing common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment. Here's a timeline, for anyone wishing to look back, be present, or prepare future entries.
How To Play
1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week 109,” including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Show support by engaging with the musicians. The greatest gift we can give to an artist is our attention. For this reason, we humbly ask that everyone offer some friendly words. Reward musicians by offering applause as if we're in a pub, a coffee shop, or concert hall. Our comments might be the vital voice that gives a musician the wings to fly, or the gills to dive deep!

Trust me @fernanblog, this theme is playful. Paper kite 🪁🪁🪁 has been a nice inspiration to me when I was a kid. Just seeing paper flying in the air and my mind then will be telling me I can fly too 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Hello community of musicians and music lovers. This week 109 of Hive Open Mic, at the suggestion of @ elisonr13, we are invited to take into account the theme of the "parrot" (as we say in Venezuela), "volantín", "cometa" as they call it in other latitudes, "referring to the freedom to imagine, create, feel and communicate freely". I took it literally, an opportunity I took the opportunity to share with you this beautiful children's theme that adults also like very much: "El papagayo", which we knew thanks to the interpretation of the masterful Venezuelan musical group "Serenata Guayanesa" and which I dedicate to my granddaughter Kamila, a very dynamic baby and for whom I play the Cuatro, the guitar, the drum, the maracas, and thus I manage to have some moments of serenity among her typical childhood restlessness.
