Global harmony is our mission. World peace is our vision. Our community's weekly open mic event attracts enthusiastic musicians and listeners. Our virtual song circle reaches globally, while upholding the classic pattern of a traditional open mic event. At the end of each week, we celebrate the music with a Community Concert.
Everyone is welcome here in our haven for expression and connection. We welcome music fans and casual listeners, while holding space for musicians of every style and any skill level. Here, music lovers build real relationships worldwide. Every contributor can be proud of the fact we are building a more harmonious world by sharing our enjoyment of music.
For the 118th week of Hive Open Mic, we will explore the following theme: "Love Hurts." This theme is chosen by our recent Spotlight Artist: @khaleesii. Everyone is encouraged to share the collective current as we express and connect through: Love Hurts.
“Love Hurts”
This week's Hive Open Mic theme is: “Love Hurts.” This is a pressure-free invitation, encouraging us to explore new territory together as artists, sharing common ground as a community. Musicians always have full freedom to bring whatever music feels inspired in the moment. Here's a timeline, for anyone wishing to look back, be present, or prepare future entries.
How To Play
1. Produce - Introduce your video by saying the words, “Hive Open Mic Week [1],” including your name. Perform a song.
2. Present - Post your video in the Hive Open Mic community. Include the tag #openmic.
3. Promote - Share your link in the comments section of Sunday's open mic invitation in order to ensure your entry is heard.
4. Prosper - Build relationships by engaging with fellow music lovers through uplifting comments.

Show support by engaging with the musicians. The greatest gift we can give to an artist is our attention. For this reason, we humbly ask that everyone offer some friendly words. Reward musicians by offering applause as if we're in a pub, a coffee shop, or concert hall. Our comments might be the vital voice that gives a musician the wings to fly, or the gills to dive deep!

Hello community, this week 118 the theme of the Hive Open Mic event revolves around the topic "Love Hurts" which can be translated as "Love hurts" or "Love hurts". This theme was proposed by our recent Spotlight Artist: @khaleesii.. I have selected the song "Mariposa Traicionera" by the group Maná to bring it to the event. The lyrics reveal an author who is jealous because the lady he is in love with is flighty, light and easy. He compares her to a butterfly that goes from rose to rose seducing the pistils. He recognizes that he is trapped in a situation that is like a mousetrap that does not kill him but does not set him free, and in the end he seems to decide to end the situation. He rejects the lady whom he defines as a "trition butterfly", says goodbye to her and wishes her a "little" punishment: That she fly near the sun so that she feels what pain is.
The musical band Mana is from Mexico and there are several songs with which they have crossed the border of their country. Who has not heard beauties songs like "En el Muelle de San Blas" (At the San Blas Dock), "Labios Compartidos"(Shared Lips) and many more? Definitely "Maná" is a great band and it is an honor for me to cover one of their songs.

Bueno, quizás escuchemos algunos corazones despachados esta semana. Jejeje (en bromendo) 🤣🤣😂🤣 Creo que será un reto fácil, ya que muchas de las canciones que escuchamos hoy en día hablan de corazones marcados por amores no correspondidos o difíciles. Pero será bueno encontrar entre tantas opciones musica que nos ayude a seguir nuestro crecimiento en la carrera musical. Éxitos para todos.

Hello community, this week's event theme is "Love Hurts." I selected the song "Tómame o déjame" by the Spanish group "Las Mocedades" because it is the story of the pain that a wife suffers for love when she realizes that her life partner is being unfaithful to her. Hello, my dear Hive Open Mic community, here again I face a new challenge. This time it is about finding a song where it is clear that "love hurts" and... precisely that is the name of this song "Love hurts". The original theme is beautifully performed by the Mexican singer and songwriter Joan Sebastian who was also known as "El Rey del Jaripeo" and to whom we owe many beautiful songs, including this one, one of my favorites.
