Quite an insightful lyrics.
Talking about he virtue of generosity , it is one virtue which is beneficial to the one who has it in two folds. It is beneficial to him spiritually and physically. Physically in the sense that when one gives, one gets back and spiritually because one builds an eternal kingdom for himself by so doing.
