Nice to greet you again! This week the open mic gives us again a theme with which I feel comfortable, "Quiet desert". That is why I chose the song "You're Here" by the renowned singer Alejandro Fernández, this piece has been composed by Flavio Enrique Santander.

This song makes me think of the peace of a desert, the loneliness that exists in it, that feeling that many times overwhelms us, and that for a long time when looking for love, I felt, without finding it, knowing that it was there. I prepared everything I had without knowing it, and there like water in the desert calmed everything I had inside.

This song is part of the studio album "Between your arms" being the eighth of his solo career, released in 2000. This song, although it was not a promotional single, I liked it a lot and it has become one of my favorite choices.

I recorded the video with an Alcatel Cameo X, just like the images. Everything was edited with Vimady, Shotcut and PhotoDirector. I hope it is to everyone's liking. Thanks for the visit. Thanks @cabelindsay for giving us a space on Open Mic. I appreciate your visit to my post, I wait for you in future publications.

You Are Here

English translation of "You Are Here"

So many times I invented you
In my longings
Calming the craving for my loneliness.
So many nights I dreamed of you
Even without knowing
How to find you.

I waited so long for you
In my sleepless nights
Wandering seagull
In station flight
So many kisses I saved you
Never dude
That you would arrive.

And you are here
Like water in my desert
To rescue my heart
Thirsty flow of illusion
Sea that breathes only in you
Covering me in your breath
Drawing the sky between the two
Leaving like this
That nests in the silence
The bird of desire
Until sunrise.

After the shadow of a goodbye
I sensed you
You see that it was not vain
This illusion
I the lost dreamer
You new sun
In broad daylight.

And you are here
Like water in my desert
To rescue my heart
Thirsty flow of illusion
Sea that breathes only in you
Covering me in your breath
Drawing the sky between the two
Leaving like this
That nests in the silence
The bird of desire
Until sunrise.

So many nights I invented you
So many kisses I saved you
But never hesitate
That you would arrive.
So many nights I dreamed of you
I waited so long for you
You, you were the new sun
In broad daylight.

Like the water in my desert
I'm covering myself in your breath
In my loneliness I sensed you.

So many nights I invented you
So many kisses I saved you
You, you were the new sun
In broad daylight.

So many nights I dreamed of you
I waited so long for you.
