Sometimes when we go through certain issues that make us sad, lonely and defeated, the only solution is to run to music.
Music is a companion that makes us feel safe and secure, and even in the worse of times, music can make a difference that even people can’t.
For this week's theme Musical Embrace, I chose to go out of my comfort zone of pop songs and try a new genre by singing the song “I look to you” by Whitney Houston.
Whitney Houston was an amazing artist and this song is such a powerful song which I have always felt a deep connection with.
The song “I look to you” shares a message about finding a higher power after going through adversely and while, for some, it might be spiritual, for others, this can be found through music.
I remember a few years ago when I was feeling down and I got to hear this song, it felt so much like an embrace and I was immediately comforted and I guess that is what musical embrace signifies to me.

La canción "I look to you" comparte un mensaje sobre la búsqueda de un poder superior después de haber pasado por una situación adversa y, aunque para algunos puede ser espiritual, para otros se puede encontrar a través de la música.
Recuerdo que hace unos años, cuando me sentía mal y escuché esta canción, me sentí como un abrazo y me sentí inmediatamente reconfortada y supongo que eso es lo que significa para mí el abrazo musical.
