Are there coincidences in life or does everything happen as it really should be? Probably no one knows the right answer and there is not just one angle from which we can observe things. But coincidence or not, a cool thing happened a few days ago:
When the weekly theme for Hive Open Mic is “Good Vibe” and you walk past a shop window and see the artwork with that inscription, you can probably think, what a coincidence. You grab your phone and take a photo, although it is not the best angle because of the reflections. But anyway, you have that good vibe thinking that will not let you miss this week's entry for the live music scene.
I know, it is already Saturday, but the whole week was busy so today I made time for this recording of a song with the title In the Mood! Nothing better to represent my mood of yesterday! Had a busy schedule, however full of energy and good vibes as I practised for some hours the piano, had lessons and a rehearsal. A full day of music, what best to ask for?!
I stayed awake very late last night and got up early today in the morning so I have under eyes, sorry. With barely a couple of hours of sleep, today I am in a similar energetic phase, for now. The song In the Mood arrives, which was actually an arrangement by Joe Garland based on an existing melody. It was recorded by Glenn Miller in 1939, and it was admitted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1983.

I've had some strange insomnia spells lately, so I'm with you in the sleep deprivation. I kinda like that feeling of being between worlds, half-awake to a different kind of reality. Your song sounds has a classic feeling to it, like the good old days. 1930s, fun. I also like the artworks you're sharing, which feel totally relevant with the good vibe of the music.
Yes, this piece absolutely has that sound from the 1930s, it was recorded in 1939. I have always loved it but never played it until now, thanks to the great topic of this week and the energy I had at Friday, I felt it as a great match. And the artworks, I just saw them and knew they will appear in the post, I liked them so much :D
My sleep derivation is more due to staying awake until very late, my rhythm is out of order now. I suppose your insomnia has another trigger... Stay well and thank you for your time and support 😇
I love this tune! Its such an upbeat number and bursting with good vibes. You look lovely and it doesn't notice that you are tired at all. I think I would be looking like a zombie on such little sleep.

Just one question, can you please let me know if the video is going well? When I posted to youtube, everything was fine, and then here in post it went bad, like the sound went before the image... Then I made again the upload to youtube and now I see it well on the laptop but bad in the phone.. dont know how others see it.

I really feel a great admiration for you, you seem so talented, beautiful, I can not deny that I have dreamed of playing the piano like that, it seems to me one of the most complete and unique instruments, it seems that you handle it so perfectly, it seems that you were born for it and it makes my skin crawl when I listen to you. Piano is a complex and complete instrument, no doubts, but any other instrument has its difficult and demanding sides. You are good in guitar playing and singing (maybe you play some other instruments too, I don´t know jet :) ). For me it was the piano from the very first note I started to play. How nice you could go back in your memories listening to my playing.
