Hey loves,
Today I thought of doing representing this theme with a duet. Coincidentally, a talented friend of mine was in town and the timing was perfect. My interpretation of this week’s theme reflects two or more souls having a connection either through a friendship, a relationship, an idea, a belief, a concept, an initiative, a love story, etc.
These things bond and unite souls together. When our souls touch, we share a deeper connection through those things that draw us closer. For instance, in this community, music is that thing that promotes our souls touching one another. It is indeed a heartfelt experience that bonds and unifies people across borders regardless of diversity in cultures, race, gender, and so on.
I chose “Hallelujah by Alexander Burke” for this week’s theme as I love the melody, mini call and response, and the way the artists carried this song, the emotions, the pitches, the voice control, and the adlibs.
My interpretation of this song is that of a love story about how the man in the song sees this particular woman that he desires and he gets weak in the knees with her. This feeling he gets brings about the expression of joy and appreciation in which he uses the term Hallelujah.
The last verse is talking about how he will do everything to be with her, even if it means getting rid of someone who gets in the way of their love. He tells her about what he has been through and that love is not always a victory march. It could make you feel cold and broken.
Hallelujah to him comes from a place where it’s cold and broken. It’s a cry at night before you see the light. Music is how he expresses those feelings and connects with the divine. Music has a special kind of place in King David’s life and he has amused many with his talent. That’s what “David” means here. Words are great ways to communicate and music is a great way to speak to your soul.
In line with the theme ”Tocando Almas” meaning “Touching Souls”, my friend and I decided to play around with this song and have fun while doing it. We tried to make it our own and connect over its lyrics. Without further ado, let’s dive right into the video. As always, thank you for tuning in and being a part of my journey!
I heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not someone who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah
(Hallelujah) hallelujah
(Hallelujah) hallelujah
(Hallelujah) hallelujah
(Hallelujah) hallelujah
(Hallelujah) hallelujah
(Hallelujah) hallelujah
(Hallelujah) hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Hola amores,
(Aleluya) aleluya
(Aleluya) aleluya
(Aleluya) aleluya
(Aleluya) aleluya
(Aleluya) aleluya
(Aleluya) aleluya
(Aleluya) aleluya
Aleluya
Aleluya

He must hear 😂😂😂😂
This is brilliant how do iget involved from the 🇬🇧
Just make a video of you singing, post it, and engage with people.
Gonna lace you up.
Imagine doing three 1min vids a day, uploading on 3speak, of you spitting bars, or freestyling. Easy content.
Or you could do vlogs about your daily life, struggles of an artist, where you are going to perform today, etc.
Or you could write articles in the short fiction community here called INKWELL.
Or you could do short vids on behind the scenes work in progress, you creating beats, you rehearsing for a tune (and bloopers lol). People love this shit.
Or if you're like me into "conspiracy theory" (i hate that term, it was a term created by the CIA) stuffs, or not easy to digest topics, i would say follow the DEEP DIVES community and post your videos (via 3speak.tv, choosing DEEP DIVES as your primary community) or articles (via peakd front end) there.
I tell you bro you can be the first of your kind here, like me. I'm one o the very very few active magicians on here, with live performances and videos on magic, sleight of hand, card tricks etc.
I've got a really good friend from Nottingham, who's a street artist. Obi Rudo. Highly successful in the busking scene. I have been tryin to get him onto HIVE but his earnings on the busking scene too good lol, keeping him away from here. So in this sense you have yourself a headstart.
