Hi m8.
Thanks for the recommendation, I truly have nothing against cannabis use and think it is much safer than alcohol for most people for sure.
But, I am one of the unlucky few who smoked weed habitually from a much too early age, and I ended up with cannabis psychosis at around the age of 23 when I had to stop smoking it. Seriously, I can't even be in a room with someone smoking weed because of the hotbox effect 😂
I've experienced people taking this the wrong way, especially if cannabis has really helped them, but cannabis psychosis is very real... and before you ask yes, I've tried having just one pull on a joint (about 2 years ago now) to see if the problem has gone, and no it hasn't whatsoever. The best way I can describe it to you is that Cannabis makes me feel like I've taken Acid and am having a bad trip. That's one, two, three pulls on a joint and it affects me this way. I literally can't touch the stuff anymore.
I know that it's a small minority of people who experience cannabis psychosis, and I have a theory that it happens much more regularly to people who start smoking weed before or during the beginning of puberty. Maybe a predisposition to mental health problems is part of it too.
But, I'll reiterate... I have no problem with people who smoke or ingest weed if it is having that good effect it used to have on me lol
Also, I know there are many health benefits as well. I tried CBD a while ago but it literally made me feel nothing. No help with sleep, anxiety or any of the things it is meant to help with.
I honestly think I overdid it much too much and too young.
Thanks though for thinking of me. I genuinely appreciate the suggestion 👍
That’s a shame man, I’m sorry to hear that. I had a feeling that might have been the case, I had a couple of friends who that has happened to, it’s tough cuz it really is “instant and in the same room” such a shame I’m sure you’d love to hang out with your pals who enjoy herbs n all that! But you are on your own journey in life right now and only through creating the right causes and conditions will the next step in life be comfortable and easy flowing for you :)
I hope you find something that works for you man! it is hard because what’s been done to us may take as long to undo as it has been done, so keep up the mindfulness and meditation etc,
And please 🙏 any mindfulness questions or queries let me know :)
I have a qualification in mindfulness and have studied and practiced Buddhism for a good few years now,
So I’m more than happy to help.
You are welcome.
I hope you’re having a good week ;)
