You get a good vocal sound with the mic so far away. I usually record with it up close. I need to work on adding bass and drums to my songs too. I am really not sure what parts to start with. May be easiest to play guitar and maybe sing to a backing track or just a drum machine that I can replace later. Something to look into.

Its a really good mic...it wasn't super expensive...about £150 I think.
Loved hearing Lazurus last night. you do it so well . do you play it in the same key as the original? Might have a go at learning it, myself.
I think I do it in the same key (A), but then my voice is fairly similar to his. I'd love to hear your version. I've done a few of his other songs, but some are just too complex with varying time signatures.
