Once again, I address this beautiful Open Mic community. In this week #261, we explore the theme: "Be Reborn." I have the pleasure of sharing my trumpet performance of "Born Free," a popular song composed by John Barry and Don Black for the 1966 film of the same name. The lyrics are about freedom and the search for authenticity in life. The melody has a powerful and elegant motif. This musical piece is in the key of C Major. I had the opportunity to perform this piece many times in music school. Matt Monro's voice is similar to Frank Sinatra's, and if you haven't heard him, I highly recommend it. The tempo is moderate and reflective, with a slight rubato and accentuation on some words. I consider this theme very connected to the theme of the week: to be reborn is to live again, and in some ways, a synonym for freedom.

Una vez más me dirijo a esta bella comunidad del Open Mic. En esta semana #261, exploramos la temática: "Be Reborn". Tengo el placer de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Born Free», una canción popular compuesta por John Barry y Don Black para la película del mismo nombre de 1966. La letra trata sobre la libertad y la búsqueda de autenticidad en la vida. La melodía tiene un poderoso y elegante motivo. Esta pieza musical se encuentra en la tonalidad de C Mayor. Tuve la oportunidad de interpretar esta pieza muchas veces en la escuela de música. La voz de Matt Monro, es similar a la de Frank Sinatra, y si no has tenido la oportunidad de escucharlo, te la recomiendo. El Tempo es moderado, y reflexivo con un leve rubato y acentuación en algunas palabras. Considero que este tema esta muy conectado con la temática de la semana, renacer es volver a vivir, y de alguna manera un sinónimo de libertad.
I think human beings are always searching for the rebirth. It's like looking for another opportunity to start over and put aside the flaws and stains of a directionless life. Being reborn implies a sincere change of heart. It doesn't just involve our feelings, but a willingness to change and obey God's laws. Reborn is a lifelong process; we can improve and learn daily. No one is perfect overnight. A musician doesn't become an expert without making mistakes. They must try again and again, without giving up. When we persevere, we are reborn from the ashes. In the score of life, we find flats and sharps, different dynamics and tonalities, but it is up to us to strive to be our own agents, accept those discrepancies, and strive to be virtuoso. I love those melodic discourses where you go from piano to fortissimo and end majestically. It's a true rebirth. I sincerely hope you enjoy my performance.

Pienso que el ser humano siempre está en búsqueda de ser renacido. Es como buscando otra oportunidad de comenzar de nuevo y dejar a un lado sus fallas, y manchas de una vida sin rumbo. Ser renacido implica un cambio sincero del corazón. No solo involucra nuestros sentimientos, sino una disposición de cambiar y obedecer las leyes de Dios. Renacer es un proceso de toda la vida, cada día se puede mejorar y aprender. Nadie es perfecto de la noche a la mañana. Un músico no se convierte en experto sin equivocarse. Debe intentarlo una y otra vez, sin desmayar. Cuando perseveramos, renacemos de nuestras cenizas. En la partitura de la vida nos encontramos bemoles y sostenidos, diferentes dinámicas y tonalidades, pero está en nosotros esforzarnos por ser nuestros propios agentes, aceptar esas discrepancias, y empeñarse en ser virtuoso. Me encantan esos discursos melódicos donde vas de piano a fortísimo, y terminan majestuosamente. Es todo un renacer. Espero con corazón de que disfruten de mi interpretación.
