Bendecido día para todos los amigos de Hive Open Mic, les habla Norma Salazar usuario @yosoyla72, semana # 97, tematica “Perdida”; cuya propuesta fue seleccionado por nuestro Hive amigo @andresongmusic.
Para esta propuesta les traigo un bello bolero titulado “No Vale la Pena” del compositor Orlando de la Rosa...
La versión que yo les traigo es la del cantante Tito Rodriguez; quien la popularizo en el año 1964. este inmortal y fenomenal cantante de la música tropical, director de Orquesta, compositor y arreglista puertorriqueño, el cual se convirtió en un excelente, exquisito integrante del bolero.
Lo llamaban el “Inolvidable”; cuyo apodo fue basado en su canción más popular, un bolero del compositor cubano Julio Gutierrez, lo hizo para él.
En la cima de su popularidad durante la década de 1950, Rodríguez solo fue rivalizado por Tito Puente en el circuito de música latina de Nueva York. Aunque descrito por historiadores y músicos por igual (incluidos ambos Titos) como "una rivalidad amistosa", su supuesta enemistad se convirtió en una especie de leyenda urbana en el mundo de la salsa. Por ejemplo, la versión de Rodríguez de "Avísale a mi contrario" se ha citado a menudo como ejemplo de tal "enemistad", a pesar de que la canción fue escrita por Ignacio Piñeiro en 1906.
A principios de la década de 1960, la popularidad ganada por la música rock trajo cambios. Las bandas latinas comenzaron a cambiar sus estilos y empezaron a tocar más salsa y boogaloo , que era más atractivo para la juventud latina de la época. Tito Rodriguez nació en Santorse Puerto Rico en 4 de Enero de 1923 y fallece el 4 de febrero de 1973 a la edad de 50 años, por una enfermedad como es la leucemia.

For this proposal I bring you a beautiful bolero titled "No Vale la Pena" by the composer Orlando de la Rosa...
The version that I bring you is that of the singer Tito Rodriguez; who popularized it in 1964. This immortal and phenomenal singer of tropical music, conductor, composer and Puerto Rican arranger, who became an excellent, exquisite member of the bolero.
They called him the “Unforgettable”; whose nickname was based on his most popular song, a bolero by Cuban composer Julio Gutierrez, made it for him.
At the height of his popularity during the 1950s, Rodríguez was rivaled only by Tito Puente on the New York Latin music circuit. Although described by historians and musicians alike (including both Titos) as "a friendly rivalry", their supposed feud became something of an urban legend in the salsa world. For example, Rodríguez's version of "Avísale a mi contra" has often been cited as an example of such an "enemistad", even though the song was written by Ignacio Piñeiro in 1906.
In the early 1960s, the popularity gained by rock music brought changes. Latin bands began to change their styles and began to play more salsa and boogaloo, which was more appealing to the Latin youth of the time.
