From France, Larry goes to Australia. He finds out that n this day in 2010, Julia Gillard became Australia's first female prime minister.
From Australia, Larry goes to Argentina. He finds out that on this day in 1987, Lionel Messi, one of the world's best football players, was born in Rosario, Argentina. Happy birthday 🎂 🎈 🎂 to him.
From Argentina, Larry goes to Thailand. He finds out that on this day in 1932, the Promoters Revolution, a bloodless coup, deposed Thailand's King Prajadhipok, bringing an end to absolute monarchy in the country and ushering in the so-called Constitutional Era.
From Thailand, Larry goes to Italy. He finds out that on this day in 1859, the Battle of Solferino, the final combat of Italy's Second War of Independence, took place in Lombardy.
Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today in #history from the world of exploration and discovery. He finds out that on this day in 1497, John Cabot was the first European to arrive in North America since the Vikings.
Having seen all these pieces of historical events, Larry zooms off to begin his daily deliveries.
