Jesse Johnson is a restaurant owner in Calgary, Alberta. His family-owned pizza place, Without Papers Pizza, had been in operation for 10 years and employed 30 people was shut down by the City of Calgary for allegedly refusing to enforce bylaw 65M2021 (vaccine passport). In other words for feeding people that hadn't got a COVID vaccine.
Needless to say, it was a huge hit financially for Jesse and his family as their main source of income was cut dry and they had to pay for legal counsel.
Fortunately, on November 15th 2023, the Alberta Court of Kings Bench dismissed all charges brought forth by the City.
He's since then filed a $3.6 Million law suit against the City of Calgary as well as Alberta Health Services (AHS) chief medical officer and I'm pretty sure he's going to win.
Jesse now has a new pizza joint where he will only accept cash as payment to avoid being shut down again. He is, however, open to the idea of accepting bitcoin, which is why I decided to reach out to Jesse with this video.
I don't know Jesse personally, I just heard his story. He's heard about bitcoin and I sometimes feel like that's a great opportunity to start the conversation. Like I've said before in other posts,
If a business accepts Bitcoin they also accept HIVE and HBD
This is step 1. When they start to understand the underlying technology, I'll hit them with step 2: showing them how to accept $HBD directly.

The reason the city of Calgary shut down Without Papers Pizza was for failing to refuse service to citizens that didn't have the vaccine passport.@v4vapp is a web app. It's accessible through @keychain's built in browser, and it's also available by simply going to https://v4v.app/ and signing with Keychain, Hive Auth or an EVM wallet.
Using tools like Keychain is not illegal and would not require anybody to alert any authorities. Android and Apple, however, are known for taking apps off of their app stores for dumb reasons and sometimes for no apparent reason at all.

Thank you for your words my friend! I try to make these videos entertaining and in this case, address a business that had a very particular problem. If by addressing a specific pain point I'm able to bring more eyes to our #freedomtools and our ecosystem, I'll continue to make these indefinitely.
Also, most of the times, I get enough upvotes from the community to cover the cost of my beer, so in a way you could say it's drink-to-earn. I don't mind at all.
