It's Shokin day 13!!! Everyone in the team were getting ready to visit Classic Kitchen which was scheduled to be our venue and spend Hive dollars.
On getting to the location, the unexpected happened. Classic Kitchen were not done preparing their delicacies. Only few snacks were ready. Even the stairs leading to the main floor was locked.
Determined to get a proper meal, the Shokin team improvised. A change of venue with immediate effect!
La fresh was chosen since it's still one of the SpendHBD listed businesses, and they serve assorted meals too.
Unfortunately, I couldn't tag along. Classic kitchen was close to my workplace, I was expecting to go grab some food, pay with HBD and hang around for a little while with my friends. As a fashion designer, you're faced with the challenge of beating the deadline. A client of mine who was supposed to use his outfit the next day was already disturbing my cellphone. Unlike Classic Kitchen, Lafresh foods and bakery is more than 30 minutes away, and spending such time away 'to and fro' and still sitting for some time to have a good time would mean not completing the customer's outfit.
Determined to spend Hive dollars I decided to improvise as well. I headed to Chicken Republic which is much closer to get some lunch for myself. it's a good thing that there are lots of options to consider in SpendHBD. This is the reason why more businesses need to be listed and in different locations too. There would be a variety of options to consider and still make more people to accept the best form of payment (SpendHBD) as their number one means of transaction.
Unlike Classic Kitchen, their foods were ready to be served. They had lots of meals that I like, but I chose Jollof Rice, moi-moi and chicken. I bought a bottle of 5-alive to step it down.
They generated a QR invoice for me and I paid by scanning it with my Hive keychain. The meal amounted to 4.667 HBD. Distriator sent me 0.933 HBD as discount.

Because of my time, I couldn't eat the food there. But I didn't fail to take photos of the space at the moment and also pictures of myself with my takeaway. But the food tasted really nice.
I'm enjoying spending HBD, I'm sure many of my friends are too. I saw some of their pictures at La Fresh and it felt like I've missed something really special. But yeah, I didn't enjoy the lovely experience I would have had if I joined them at Lafresh but I know that more weekends are still coming and we'll have more time to ourselves to spend Hive dollars and enjoy each other's company..
SpendHBd is a great initiative, and @thedistriator is making it much funnier and exciting every passing day. I hope to see my team during Shokin day 14, I'll be there, will you??
