SHOKiN Day 8: Amazing Moments At The Newly Listed Tiger Bar

The group shopping project in Nigeria (SHOKiN),has been a way to on onboard many great businesses in to the platform, giving them a good chance at experiencing technology at it's finest, also offering customers an opportunity to enjoy amazing discounts from the distriator. Yesterday was yesterday another wonderful sunny day to have fun and spend some cool HBD at a very popular bar in Aba.

On Friday, our local guide @fokusnow was able to meet the management of the bar and speak to them about SpendHBD and the entirety of the project. He informed them of all the benefits of embracing this new technology of stress free transactions and automatic discounts. He also let them know about our intentions to come as a group and patronize them using HBD. The management welcomed the proposal with opened arms, although they also gave out some conditions to some some due processes which included writing an official letter to the management seeking for authorization to carry on our group shopping activity. Our local guide made sure to follow all those process, he wrote the letter and it was approved.

Saturday came as quickly as you can even blink and we all were getting ready to storm the place as a group. The meetup was scheduled at noon allowing all who were available to come to be there. Of course, I wouldn't miss it for the world, soon enough I got ready and headed to the bar with @ngobaby. It was my first time being there, still it wasn't even hard to find the spot as it was located right opposite the State's Polytechnic.

Arriving there, I was met with a wonderful sight of this very clean, spacious and well organised bar/event center. Honestly when I heard the name " Tiger Bar", I was puzzled by when the owners decided to give it that name, but the moment I got there, I realised why that was the case. The entire walls of the bar was covered with this exceptional and hyper realistic painting of Tigers, you know sort of giving the entire space this jungle look which was very wonderful.

They were pretty much strict about taking pictures of the space initially because some of the workers didn't know we had already gotten an authorisation by the management to use the space for our meetup. But thankfully,the air was cleared, the patrol team got off our necks and I couldn't help but take some cool pictures with the Tiger paintings spicing up the entire photos.

A lot of persons from our team were able to make it to the meetup. There wasn't so much of us sadly, but it was fun all the same. Our very own hype man @bakinba, came with his assistant @mayorboo together with @saraliko and @wisdomike. It's never a dull moment with those guys, they made sure we never shut our mouths with their endless jokes and stories. I could tell @bummblebee was the first to get to the said location, immediately the time of the meetup was announced, he sent a video note showing himself in his Hive T-shirt already on his way. I wonder if he ate some barbeque with @dinakks44 before our arrival.

Soon came along @luchyl raging from the gate at patrol officer who didn't allow her entrance to the venue because of some slight misunderstanding. She seemed very pissed off at the encounter but the manager came right away and apologized for the tension in the air. Some others like @ijebest came from other events she had already attended before the scheduled time of the meetup with @figgyacademy101. I figured out some people came even earlier than others because that explains why @chimary left even before the party started.

It was time to take our orders. I loved how simple their menu was , white rice and peppersoup and bitterleaf soup. One of the finest delicacies of the locals. I decided to have the rice and let me tell you, if not that I'm a very chill girl, I would've snuck into their kitchen asking for more because the meal was simply tasty and yummy. We had our drinks to step it down, everyone to what they wanted. One thing I appreciated most was the manager serving customers himself and running all the errands humbly when the workers haven't arrived yet. In fact he was the one that served the whole 15 persons food and drinks and that shows a good quality of a leader.

We all had our fill, some ordered for more food and drinks while others decided to watch their weight with portion control. In end we all made our transactions and paid. Now it was time for the pictures. We have make a statement while taking pictures because people in bar were surprised at the way everyone was very serious with the photography moments. After the pictures inside, it was time to leave when @luchyl figured out there were wonderful shadows both the ones made by our figures and the one from the trees. And you guessed right, more pictures!!! The sun did us a huge favur by spicing up the pictures, making them so clear and beautiful.

The photo moments came to an end finally and we all left for our various destinations happy and satisfied. This shopping activity is a way of bringing us all together to spend both time and HBD which is the main purpose. Nevertheless we all enjoyed the whole experience, although missed some persons like @debbydaniels and her brother @brainbrian, they're quite very active member of the group shopping and I hope they show up at the next SHOKIN.
