Last weekend was a spectacular one for all our spend HBD friends over here in my city, Aba. Not only was it a day for our usually shoppers connect, where we meetup to make our purchases in HBD from listed stores. It was a day for the grand opening of a new business, Happy customer supermarket courtesy of @fokusnow. It was a project that was brought to birth through thorough planning and a strategy to drive the @spendHBD community to the limelight.
For months now since Nigerians started shopping with HBD, we've had significant progress that is worth commendable. From the many business adopted the system, to the newbies embraced the community and its goal and are doing so well gaining the attention of other hive friends in Nigeria who are yet to join. To that effect, the idea to set up a supermarket came up, since the space was useful for mentorship and workshops. The establishment of a supermarket will serve more to help onboard new people and push the community forward.
Most people don't always get when you tell them, they can shop and make payments in HBD. They want to know how it works, how to claim discounts and their so many questions. Now they won't just come to the office to receive mentorship, they can right buy whatever they needed and make payments, claiming discounts at the same. That was the whole idea of setting up a supermarket at the location and it's a brilliant one.
We had our friends from all over join to make the day special, the ones around and the ones from other cities already, who are working hard to push the community forward. One of the local guides of Uyo city,@ijelady also made it that day with few people from her city. Since we had newbies who heard about the grand opening from the campaign we did earlier, it was thoughtful that they were filled in on how the community is about and how to use @thedistriator to earn passive income while making daily purchases. Time was spent by our speakers @fokusnow and @ijelady to talk about these subjects and make room for questions from the newbies.

The journey just begun and so far, most people have been coming to make their purchases and a few others, their inquiries. Some of our active shoppers have been able to onboard one or two persons since that day. Our aim is to bring in more people and help them understand the value of the community and it's worth. Rewards have been promised to everyone who successfully onboards a newbie and assisted in making a transaction. Going forward, we hope to create more awareness about the new business to encourage people to adopt spending HBD into their daily lives.
