Dear hive community, Some weeks ago we made known to everyone about the ongoing development on Ezabay, an exchange built to convert hive/hbd to fiat currency easily which aims at enhancing adoption of hive/hbd across several countries especially through the concept of distriator and SpendHbd. We appreciate the love and great amount of support we received after introducing the project, we really appreciate every encouraging comment, upvote, reblog and those who personally reached out to us to show their anticipation on this project. We are truly grateful to the entire hive community for the great amount of love and acceptance shown to Ezabay.

After our introduction post, we opened our platform for testing on the 15th of November 2024 and we got some nice feedback and also some few complaints/reports from our testers.
We had some experienced hive users that helped us test the platform.
They were able to do the following,
- Sign up and sign in to the platform.
- Deposit hive and withdraw.
- Deposit fiat and swap to hive and vice versa.
While we wanted them to use some dummy fund instead of spending real money for testing, some actually took their trust to the point of sending us real fiat which was confirmed instantly and credited to their dashboard. They were able to trade with the credited fiat, some bought some hive, sold it back to fiat, withdrew to their banks and they received the fund in their bank accounts instantly.
We also need to mention that some testers encountered some challenges all of which we have fixed.
Some of these challenges includes,
- Challenges withdrawing hive from platform. Some users were getting an
internal server error. We found out that this was due to incorrect decimals in the amount because hive blockchain expects amount to be in 3 decimal places (so we fixed this and it is no longer an issue)
- Some people had login/registration issues due to the fact they weren't fully aware of the requirements for logging in on the platform and we also didn't send the right message to let them know what is wrong
Corrections have been made on this and we are now sending the right message to keep users informed of what is really wrong.
We have included notifications that help inform users as show in screenshots below;
- We also got reviews about our UI which we have fixed.
At the moment we are working on adding more currencies for people in different countries. We are looking at adding fiat currency for users in Mexico(development for this is ongoing), after which we will add for Ghana, After this we will add more countries to the list. Some of the fiat on our list to add includes; Venezuelan bolivar, Argentinian peso, Colombian peso, Brazilian real, Cuban peso etc.
We haven't officially released our link for public use because we want to ensure proper tests had taken place. But we believe that you all need to be updated on our development so far.
For now we are starting with Nigerian naira, but everyone can still go ahead to register because we will add fiat for your countries in future(that is not going to be long). Also if you have usdt or bitcoin in any wallet or exchange, we are adding feature for you to send and receive on Ezabay then you can swap to hive/hbd. In this sense, our service is not limited to Nigerians only but open to all hive users.
In our next post, we will be announcing official launch date, we will also release our link officially so everyone can create their accounts before launch date. After registering, you can go to your profile to get your referral link so that anyone you refer can signup using your referral link. There is a bonus awarded to you upon every trade/buy/sell performed by any user you referred. We have added this so as to incentivise everyone who helps us to onboard people.

By the way, when you mentioned that it uses the concept of SpendHBD, do you also intend to create a service similar to it? — a crypto payment service?

Thanks for your question, What that means is that ezabay is an initiation born from spendhbd. We are built to support what spend hbd is doing and promote it. So what we have done is create an easy system for hbd to be spent.
