It was another amazing outing for the Shokin team. It was the second time in 2025, the 12th ShokiN event which took us to another popular spot in the city of Aba - kilimanjaro restaurant. At the end of the day, it was fun and engaging as expected. A total of 20 Hive users in the city came together to eat,have fun and network. This is my personal experience for the day.
92 HBD spent
This is our first time of coming to Kilimanjaro as a team. Of course I have been here personally over the years to enjoy my meals. But as friends, the experience was great on another level. Together, we spent 92 HBD on various amazing dishes. This is one of the biggest amounts spent as a group in a newly listed business. The friends that came had a nice review of the quality of food and service at Kilimanjaro. We are growing in our efforts to spend more and get many new friends involved.

Kilimanjaro is home to many local dishes as well as foods from beyond. This restaurant has one of the largest spaces in the city, sharing the same environment with the largest supermarket in town - market square. We were not surprised to find many people already inside the restaurant when we arrived and the large customer count made obtaining food not as easy as elsewhere. But at the end, everyone bought what they wanted to eat.
Like i said earlier, Kilimanjaro has a large space for customers. They also have a great deal of nicely arranged sits for friends to enjoy their meals. The festive season made this place a lot more busier than usual. I had to give you a look around the restaurant so you get a glimpse of what it looks like. Here is a video I captured from my seat while relaxing after my meals.
Claiming discounts and great connections
The most important aspect of our ShoKiN events is the claiming of discounts. Each person that paid HBD smiled because they got instant discounts of HBD based on the percentage level they operate. Some of the friends got up to 40% discount of the amount they spent. For many that amount is really significant.
In addition to the discounts, we also found time to interact with friends both old and new. Its always a high point of this group outing. We had time to meet newbies that just joined us and even older friends that have been around for some time. This helps to make the group stronger and motivate everyone to be active. After we have had great conversations and discounts, it was time for photography. We snapped so many photographs and they are all nice. I will like to show you some of them below.
ShoKiN day 13 and Hive meetup
I will quickly prepare the team for the next ShiKiN event which will be for day 13. We will likely visit a new business to be listed. Of course, we will might still visit an old listed business that has not seen many users paying with HBD. Either ways, we wont miss the next ShokiN event.
I am also planning to resume our monthly hive meetup which is a special meeting of all Hive users in the city. Its not just a shopping event, but it will be an avenue to educate our members on how best to accelerate their Hive business. This meeting will feature presentations, talks and question/answer sessions. We will also try and invite many potential new users and businesses to expand the network of those spending and accepting HBD in Aba.
I encourage all our friends to get ready for many other activities supporting and promoting Hive as a freedom blockchain. The more awareness we create, the more Hive grows and possibly, its value in the market.

SHOKiN day was interesting because had unusual experiences. For day 13 be it a new or old listed place the most important is for we not to miss it all. I have attended the hive meet up once though I was a bit behind time but I benefited from it.
Thanks for always being there to support our team event. We always enjoy our time out together during any ShoKiN event. Day 13 wont disappoint, hoping to see you there. The hive meetup an organizing would be great. A lot of new ideas will be added.
