Weekends are for relaxation with friends and no other time is more special than ShoKiN days. So it was on day 14 when we all gathered at a local business to eat lunch, talk and laugh and learn. Most important is the instant discount which every participant looks forward to claiming after they have paid with HBD. Welcome to my story of how we spent ShoKin day 14 at Classic Kitchen in Aba, Nigeria.
Exotic meals in a great environment
Classic Kitchen is one of those places in Aba where you want to gather with friends and have a good chat. Besides the conducive environment of this restaurant, its a cool and calm place to enjoy great local dishes. This is actually the second time we came here as a group. The first time was sometime in 2024 and it was really some great outing for friends.
One thing we enjoyed so well in this event is the exotic local dishes on menu. Classic Kitchen is home to native soups popular to people in South Eastern Nigeria. The soups include uha soup, vegetable soup, nsala soup, Oligbu and many other varieties. Everyone has their favorite meal on display and it was a massively fun event.
Our meeting time was 2pm local time and interestingly, we had a sizeable number of ShoKin team in attendance. We spent together nearly 40 HBD and everyone enjoyed their discounts which is often a highlight of our shokin day activities. It was also a social event, so we tried to introduce each person in attendance and made sure we know each person by name.
Great conversations often accompany our ShoKin day activities. There is no strict agenda to discuss. Its always about informal chats with everyone at your desk. Hive and SpemdHBD is often a recurring topic of discussion. We also had to talk about other things in the city including current events and personal matters. At the end of it all, we always look forward to the next ShoKiN event.
We always create and save memories in form of group pictures. Day 14 was no different and it would be nice to share with you some of those amazing pictures.
Bigger things to happen in February 2025
The year 2025 is already running fast and its important to run with it. The ShoKiN team are lead by me is planning big marketing campaigns targeted at groups and young crypto users. First of all, there will be a good and conducive place to gather newbies, mentor them and let them have their first Spending HBD experience. More update on that one shortly.
Then we will eventually run proper outdoor campaigns designed to get young people especially students to join the Hive blockchain. This will serve to increase the number of people spending HBD and creating content on Hive. Then our monthly Hive meetups powered by SpendHBD will soon kick off. It will be a massive time to meet with friends across the city and get more newbies to join.
A lot is planned to happen from February up and we cant wait to start executing these activities. Of course, ShokiN day events will be at the center of it all and we call on you friends to always support it the way you have heen doing. SpendHBD remains the largest usecase of crypto in real life. This projectvwill definitely open the door for the masses to adopt freedom money. If you feel bullish like I always do, then continue to bring your friends to our social spending and other events. My major focus is the stomach where those huge food went it, yours is still flat why, hahahahah hahahahah hahahahah hahahahah, this kitchen is very spacious and there environment looks clean, I love eating in such a place because the food will be healthy.
