Its been a month now since I was approved as Uyo community guide in Nigeria. To me I was surprised to see myself approved for such great task. I was humbled when @fokusnow brought to my attention that I have been approved as Uyo community guide. I couldn't say much than thank you so much. After that I read almost all the post made by @distriator. I was moved to discuss with my mentor @fokusnow how he has been doing it, things he did that moved people to join Hive. After sharing his success journey with me, I decided to go to radio station to announce spendHBD project in my state. I did two days workshop that followed with weekly workshop to sound spendHBD to hears that want to listen. Since then I have not stopped talking about spendHBD wherever I found myself.
My experience in onboarding newbies on Hive
I have been on this chain for years now and help so many join Hive blockchain but this spendHBD prospecting is different. There are those who will never join Hive if I continue to tell them about hive how I use to. What I mean here is that even if they join,they won't be active so much but with spend HBD,I don't need to talk too much for them to be active on Hive.
I have this lady that joined hive through spendHBD and she said I don't really want to write because of time but I will be converting my Naira to HBD to buy something. Guess what happened yesterday Sunday. She told me to teach her how to write that she can write very well after seeing reward she got by shopping through distriator app with HBD. She said this is really good. Now she want bring her friend to join hive this week. spendHBD has changed the way I use to market Hive before because now, it involves business men and women.
Progress so far in onboarding business and hivers
I have been able to onboard 8 persons who have said yes to hive and shop with HBD. They claimed HBD reward from distriator app and they are amazed to see the truth with their eyes. For businesses, I have been able to list 7 businesse too. These businesses has a lot of testimony to share. The last business I listed which is IKUKUOMA RESTURANTS AND BAR was so happy as we went in there for our ShokiN day 15. She was so curious to know how everything works and accepted for us to organize workshop for her. You can see the positive effect of spendHBD on people out there.
** My challenges so far in onboarding business**
Some businesses are not run by the owners of the business in my City. Some you will only meet secretary, sales Girls or managers who cannot make decisions on their own. In a situation like that, you need to submit a written letter to reach the owner of the business for approval . In all the mountains must be climbed.
My spendHBD/Hive goal this week
My goal is to visit at least, five businesses this week and onboard at list 2. I also want to onboard 5 users this week too. As businesses are listed on distriator app to accept HBD, more users are needed to shop with HBD. My joy is, the more I onboard users, the more they too onboard others. The spendHBD that I started in Uyo as a single soul has attracted bot old hivers and newbies to Hive. The team has grown to 31 persons in just 31 days. Do you think that they will keep their mouth shut about hive and spendHBD? Not at all
Another goal I have this week is to comment on 5-10 post each day on spendHBD community. I know I have been commenting but is not enough. Writing it down now as a goal with help me to go more on engagement. Hi e is a social platform, it will not be more rewarding if we are not engaging very well.
Conclusion
spendHBD project is like no other, shoptoearn earn is the life of every good business. It will bring people on Hive that hive will feel activities of a social platform.
