It's always good, advisable and effective to think of ways to make quality improvements in life because there is one adage that says:
If a short man enters a bush without making noise, no one will notice him.
So with that in mind, there is need to make noise for people to notice spendhbd project. But why? Ok, here in our locality, people sees any online business as fraud because of those prior to spendhbd and hive. Therefore, there is need to open their minds to understand this project and to be part of it.
For months now, as a trusted local guide, I do go to different listed businesses like **dikkies Supermarket, say-yes-supermarket and homeofbeauty salon ** just to advertise this project to their customers. Do you know that most times, our people will look at me as one man squad fraudster. Lolz. Honestly, it's embarrassing I swear.
Now, to make it easier and lively for them, especially those afraid to join with their phones but are interested to get discounts or cashback, I will pay with my phone on their behalf, claim discount and then give them the discount. Yet, that won't remove their fears. Some will even walk up to the manager of the business inquiring to know if they are aware of my mission in their supermarket or am just trying to fool them. Now, what if the manager of the business should respond negatively, that will mean death oo because our people here don't joke with such actions again.
So to be at the safer side and to change people's view of spendhbd and hive, I decided to think of something better to prove genuineness of this platform and to create awareness. At the end, I resolved into 2 ways I think and believe would be effective and active. One of them is the one am introducing in this post which is to print hbd flex or banner.
From my small mentality, I believe that if I should walk in to a listed business and hang the banner somewhere, I won't even need to talk much about it, rather, it's patronizers and customers are the ones that will be in the position to ask for an explanation of how to get the discount.
At that, I went to a printer, paid him for 2 banners (flex) for the double spendhbd projects am kicking off. Please don't expect me to unveil the second one until I feel so because printing a flex is not the only thing, there are many more to organize so as to hit a good project at the head without missing your target. Therefore, I will unveil it soonest. Nevertheless, it's best to dream big despite how small one started. One thing I know for sure is that very soon, people around our city, it's environs and probably our country at large must know and use hbd as mode of payment. And the things I need to carry out the targeting project is time, life and lack of procrastination. Though , money is also involved . Let's hope for the best tomorrow!!
Few days ago, I received a call from the printer that the works are out. I went and collected the flex. One thing I love about the man's work is that it doesn't fade or washout. Below are the pictures I took while at the printer's shop.
My first outing with it
Yesterday, the 17th day of March 2025 which is Monday, I went to Say-yes-supermarket with it because I have taken it as a duty to market hbd and create awareness to hive and spendhbd community's projects.
There, I hung the banner at the entrance of the supermarket and many demanded to know by themselves what it's all about. After explaining the project to them, 3 people wanted to register but bad network bridged them. For days now, we Nigerians have been experiencing bridged network especially MTN network because they're doing some kind of upgrade. So, I handed them our flier since my number is written boldly there. They promise to chat me up once the network becomes stable.
I was downhearted but decided to wait for a while to see if I can succeed in registering even if it's one new user. After a while, a lady came in to carry things she bought and kept in the supermarket when she saw the banner and then asked to understand what the project is all about and how she can be part of it. I gave her full explanation of hive and spendhbd. She found it so interesting. But the only question she asked is:
Is this business organized by Nigerians? I mean, is the founder a Nigerian?
I said no to her and she said she's keenly interested to join especially the fact that she can get some savings through it anytime the husband gives her money both for food stuffs and other things. I also told her that as a health care worker she is as well as a lover of sport and cooking she is, there are many communities in this platform where she can write and post her original articles and get paid for both her time and knowledge. I have also sent her some already made introduction posts as sample for her to prepare hers and she's already into it.
I registered her through spendhbd signup page and her username is @luchystan. To be sure of this project genuineness, she decided to buy goods worth of #2500. I transferred the equivalent hbd to her wallet, showed her how to make her payment and where and how to claim her discount from distriator. She was extremely happy. Do you know that the woman acted in a unique way. Honestly, it's my first time of seeing someone who didn't ask me to take the hbd claimed and to give her Fiat. Wow!
She said she will leave it there because she will soon add money(hbd) to it to purchase other needed items. I love her decision.
One of the people that network affected his registration asked me to use my phone to pay and claim discount on his behalf which I did. I also gave him his discount and that moved him into believing that spendhbd is real. Base on my chat with him, he too will soon be here.
By 4:30pm, I went back home to prepare food for my mum because she hates late night meals.
My observation
For sure, my target worked and it is effective. Like I said earlier, I do run around hunting for a listening ear to convince about hbd. But reverse was the case today. Instead of me running around, customers were the ones hunting to know what the flex is all about and how they too can join and be among its beneficiaries. Wow, if not because of network failure, 3 people would have join hive yesterday through spendhbd project. Nevertheless, better and fruitful days ahead.
My plan of printing a flex will definitely be fruitful and meet it's purpose of onboarding many newbies to hive and spendhbd, at the same time, create huge awareness of hbd. The world is turning to crypto and we Nigerians are not exempted. Meanwhile, when mobile money transfer came in, we were afraid of it, POS was introduced and we ran away from it. But today what is happening? they're now taking the lead to the extent many businesses no longer accept cash, instead, they prefer mobile money payment and as for POS, banks now allow them to carry majority of their works and life is now easier than before.
So one day, hbd mode of payment will definitely take the lead. Let's have positive vibes and mindset. We must be at the top someday.

Yea, we have nothing to be ashamed of. It's for their benefit. Therefore, we must let them know of it. For sure, our people are just acting like chicken that rope tied all over its legs, even when you're trying to lose the rope, it will sound as if you are his enemy that wants to attack. I won't blame them, fraudsters everywhere.
