I am beyond thrilled to finally introduce myself to this amazing community of entrepreneurs, innovators, and game-changers. My name is Afekemor Joy Chinenye , I am from Anambra state, Nnewi north local government but I was born and brought up in Lagos state, Nigeria. I had my primary, secondary and Tertiary education also in Lagos state. I can say, i am a full Lagosian.
I am a lover of Nature, and i love adventures.
I am the eldest to my siblings, we are Five girls no male. I was raised and brought up by my parents until April 17th 2020, when I lost my Dad to the cold hands of Death due to Diabetes. My father loved and took care of us as his family. He worked hard, being the bread winner just to provide food and shelter for his family.
After his Death, things became tough for us especially my Mum who was just managing some petty jobs that couldn’t sustain her children.
On the other hand, I didn’t give up. I used the Culinary skills I had started in 2017, to make earns needs in order to be supportive to my family.
That's the year I discovered my passion for baking. It's hard to believe it's been a few years since I first stepped into the world of baking, but the excitement and joy I felt back then are still with me today.
I remember it like it was yesterday. I was browsing through social media, and I stumbled upon a video of a baker expertly crafting a beautiful cake. I was mesmerized by the way the ingredients came together to create something truly magical. From that moment on, I was hooked. I knew I had to learn how to bake.
I started by watching YouTube tutorials and online baking classes. I practiced and experimented with different recipes, ingredients, and techniques. I made mistakes, of course, but I learned from them. And with each success, my confidence grew.

As a baker, I have always been fascinated by the art of creating something delicious and beautiful from scratch. There's something therapeutic about mixing, kneading, and baking that just makes me feel alive. Over the years, I've honed my skills and developed a passion for creating unique and delicious treats that bring people together.
But being a baker is not just about following a recipe; it's about sharing love, kindness, and joy with others. There's something special about seeing the smile on someone's face when they take a bite of something you've created. It's a feeling that never gets old, and it's what drives me to keep pushing the boundaries of what's possible with bread and pastry.
As an entrepreneur, I've always been drawn to the world of business and innovation. I love the idea of taking a passion and turning it into a career. Over the years, I've learned so much about what it takes to build a successful business, from marketing and branding to operations and customer service.
But being an entrepreneur is not just about making money; it's about creating something that brings value to others. It's about solving problems, meeting needs, and making a difference in people's lives. And that's exactly what I'm passionate about doing with my bakery.
So, what brings me to the HIVE community? I'm excited to connect with like-minded individuals who share my passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and making a difference.
