RE: I visited HOLA! Supercenter C.A. & paid Hive Dollars & here is my review

in SpendHBD6 days ago

The documentation of a real spend in a real business with a time stamp and value spent is so incredibly valuable that it is hard to understate. While blogging on Hive is still of course of critical importance, The value of this documentation of a proof of work using hive exceeds the blogging part of hive by orders of magnitude IMHO. The ability to keep the reviews short so that completion of the action of the documentation of the proof of work is quick and easy is essential here. This is why we have dozens of grandmothers using the system! They love it.

It turns normal people into crypto miners without needing technical skills. Just scan a QR code, take two photos and write a short review.

We are now in talks with festival operators to reward similar proof of work at their events for either purchases or actions that they complete at the events.

Like I said above we need to talk to the operators of worldmappin to auto filter out the distriator posts. But do note that users such as myself will be using world mappin a lot more now that we can see heat maps for spending on it. There are many others such as me who will find this info more interesting than reading travel blogs alone on the site. Imo a toggle on toggle off button for this data can solve ur issues.

Every single users that claims discounts via distriator also by default accumulates HP by virtue of them using the system. This is not a buy to sell system. Although at present it has resulted in an addition of $105k annually to HBD usage which causes a demand for HBD while also causing the spread of HP to distriator users

I like that Dash is using hive to help its users earn Dash. With BAC, we have built something similar for bitcoiners where u can earn Lightning for blogging using a hive account that has a proven BTC balance. This will be replicated for most major crypto’s going forwards. Onboarding thousands of external users.

We will even drop social tokens to these communities.

Each time these users interact with the chain, again HP will end up in their accounts. Getting a network affect on HP is critical to Hives security and growth.

Furthermore, I expect in the not too distant future that dash users will be able to pay with dash and get a lower but still significant discount by virtue of them using hive and it’s incredible mechanics. Each time a Dash user spends dash and claims discounts they will automatically accumulate HP in their hive account.

This is an incredible way for Hive to position itself as the underlying tech in crypto payments and discount offerings in the industry while also distributing HP to thousands of at present non hive users at the same time

Regarding the 60 characters, if u go back and watch the distriator videos of ppl using the tech to claim their discounts, 60 characters is too time consuming for what is taking place and would discourage use of the app.

IMO (and I’m yet to do the numbers on this) but distriator has probably the highest user retention on hive, probably by far, and it’s onboarding users like crazy, making HBD spendable all over the world, creating a true parallel economy, causing buy side demand for HBD while already HP to all users. It’s incredibly good for hive. Part of why that works is that the review process is fast.

Appreciate ur interest. If u want would be good to get on a recorded call with you to discuss further.

If there is reason to believe that distriator is not the most value added app to hive right now and into the foreseeable future, then I’m happy to be shown incorrect if u have stats to back it up and wind back the operation

Thank you for the reply.
Neither being whale nor dev, but someone who reads a lot and tries to have a little scratch beneath the surface, I don't always understand the inner workings or ideology behind the projects I see which is what makes your well-written and insightful reply very much appreciated. I wish projects would be more concerned with updating the users of the chain with their progress and that Hive itself had a centralised news outlet.

It would be nice if everyone using the chain in whatever capacity could pull in the same direction from time to time but at least I'd hope that the one thing everyone could agree on is the development of a true parallel financial economy.

One last thing I did notice was that some of the shops were charging some seriously inflated prices in HBD if compared to their local currency. Is this by design and something you monitor or are some of the shops and users gaming the system.

For example, this post.

The local price of these two items would be less than 3000Naira which is less than $2 ! They paid $11.31.

I hour ago, same supermarket, one loaf and a few sachets of creamer, $14.33

Two hours ago, same user, different supermarket. A few more packets of 3in1 and some cheap noodles, $14.667

Thanks once again, best wishes with everything :-)
