MY INTRODUCTION TO HIVE AND MY FIRST EXPERIENCE IN SPEND HBD WORKSHOP.

in SpendHBD9 days ago (edited)

**Hello, pals. I'm so excited to join this wonderful community.
My name is Stella Chizoba Umezurike.
I am a native of Umuahia ibeku in Abia state, somewhere in the eastern part of Nigeria.
I am the first child of my parents and the only child of my father.
I grew up knowing my grandma and maternal family members. I was loved and cherished dearly by my mum's older sister, till the last day of her existence.
I spent my early childhood with my grandmum and I grew to love her a lot, while I share an unbreakable bond with my aunt, who happens to always stand in the gap as a mother for me. She practically gave me the names I bear to
date.
Unfortunately, I lost my grandmum in 2010. I was downhearted because of my loss. But having my aunty by my side gave me the comfort I needed to pull through she promised to be there always for me. But my world came crashing when she was diagnosed with uterine cancer at very late hours.
I was helpless, broken, and crushed, knowing that I couldn't do anything to make her stay.
I lost her too on March 17 2023.
It was the most horrible day of my life, a day I will never forget.
Back to my growing up;
I also spent most of my adolescent age living with different uncles and aunties . So I had various experiences from various places; the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Most of those years were with my mum's eldest brother, who was a former commissioner of police.
I had a good life, food, clothing, and shelter, but I lacked the most important thing a child needed, which was parental love and care, causing me emotional pain.
I was verbally abused. They made me feel worthless. I lost confidence in myself , I condemned myself, and I never believed something good could come out of me.
I was exposed to hard labour at an early stage, and I was made to work for whatever I needed, including school books.
One day, I got frustrated, and I attempted suicide. Thanks to my favourite aunty who came to my rescue as usual.
I grew up being a saddest, a very lonely child, though I had people around me, but I was scared of playing with them to avoid them calling me names.
I was always stigmatised by my peers, especially my other aunty's children.

Educational background:
I acquired my primary certificate at World Bank primary school umuahia, where I was awarded a scholarship to complete my primary education.
I got admission into a federal secondary school( GIRL'S SECONDARY SCHOOL UMUAHIA HOLY ROSERY).
I continued with my academic progress.
One day, my uncle was transferred to Rivers state, and I was forced to move with him. That was where I got my high school certificate.
I also acquired a diploma certificate in desktop publishing in the computer.
Despite all odds, I have never stopped believing in myself.
There is this article I loved so much by JOSHUA KINGS that says, " it is always important to remember that the way in which we came into this world does not need to define your worth."
The fact that you are alive shows there is a reason, purpose, and hope. You made it out of the womb alive.
Think of how many unborn children aren't as fortunate.
Selfish choices of parents, unforseen circumstances, tragedy or myriad of other reasons that caused your fatherlessness, does not stop you from choosing to live a meaningful and upright life.

I love exploring new things, I am an adventurer, I also love good food, listening to music, driving. I am scared of making friends, but I hold dear the few ones I'm able to get. I'm easygoing, but I hate being taken for granted. I love writing a lot because it has been my most effective way to ease my pain. When I go through difficult times and I have no one to confind in, I find solace in my diary.

HOW I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT HBD:
