What is Distrator?

Distriator is a not-for-profit discount/rebate system that provides cashback when you spend Bitcoin Lightning or Hive Backed Dollars ($HBD) if you document your purchases with Social Media on the Hive Blockchain.

This guide contains the percentage returns on consecutive claims, the resetting mechanism, and the distribution of commissions.

Percentage Returns on Consecutive Claims:

When you make and claim a payment, you can receive a percentage of your payment back. The percentage increases with each consecutive claim until a reset occurs. Here's how it works:

  • 1st Claim: 30%
  • 2nd Claim: 35%
  • 3rd Claim: 40%
  • 4th Claim: 45%
  • 5th Claim: 50%
  • 6th Claim: 55%
  • 7th Claim: 60%

NOTE: THE ABOVE % APPLY ONLY TO SPENDS BELOW 15USD. FOR SPENDS ABOVE 15USD THE ABOVE % ARE REDUCED

Resetting the Claims:

After your 7th claim, the percentage resets to 30% for the next claim. Additionally, claims reset twice a month, on the 1st and the 15th.

Commission Distribution:

When you make a claim, part of the payment is distributed as a commission to trusted guides who onboarded the business and the person who onboarded you to Hive.

  • Trusted Guides: If the business has trusted guides, they receive a 2.5% commission, which is deducted from the claimed amount.
  • Onboarder: The person or entity that onboarded you to Hive also receives a 2.5% commission deducted from the claimed amount.

Example:

  • Eddie pays 10 HBD at "Cafe Jitters" using a V4V invoice (he is friendly, He buys for his friends too).
  • Eddie goes to distriator.com to claim his reward.
  • Cafe Jitters has two trusted guides who worked together to onboard the business: Jon and Edmundo.
  • Eddie's Hive account was onboarded by Noah.

Calculation:

  • Eddie gets a 25% reward, from which is deducted:
  • Trusted guides receive 2.5% of 10 HBD (0.25 HBD), split equally in this case: Jon gets 0.125 HBD, and Edmundo gets 0.125 HBD for working together to onboard the business "Cafe Jitters".
  • The onboarder of Eddie's account ("Noah" in this example) receives 2.5% of 10 HBD (0.25 HBD).
  • Eddie gets 2.5 HBD after deducting the commissions.

Leaderboards:
Distriaor will take any surplus rewards it has obtained in post beneficiaries on top of what it pays out in liquid HBD and put it into prize pots. Prizes for the following leader boards will be given back to the community, making Distriator a Not for Profit system.

  • Most claims made (paid out with surplus beneficiary rewards)
  • Most money claimed (paid out with surplus beneficiary rewards)
  • Trusted Guide with the most active business (the more times claims are made through your onboarded business, the higher up this leaderboard you place), (paid out with surplus beneficiary rewards and delegations from us)
  • Person with the most active sign-ups (the more your sign-ups claim, the higher up this leaderboard you place) (paid out with surplus beneficiary rewards and delegations from us)
  • Most active business with the most transactions and most value flowing through it (paid out with delegations from us, to hopefully deomnstrate to businesses of holding HivePower and the resulting support they can give to their best clients by upvoting their content)

Note: Excess rewards from the @distriator.bene account will be used as prizes for leaderboard users.
