Hello Star Wars fans, I hope you are all having a totally cosmic day!
This is a digital painting I have been working on of one of the greatest villains of all time - Darth Vader.
I usually work in traditional media and haven't attempted any digital art for years, but as I have just begun sharing my art online I thought it would be the perfect time to give digital media another try.
While this piece is far from perfect, it took a long time and I can't help but feel proud of the result, so wanted to share it with you all!

This one is just before adding the glowing highlights using colour dodge, and the background of course.

I'm used to sharing my process with traditional media, but this went through so many uncoordinated and bizarre iterations I decided early on that midpoint screenshots would not add much in terms of showing a process. I had never considered using them for validation though, thanks for the tip! With respect I am here primarily to share my art, and if I wanted to take credit for someone else's, I'm sure it would be easy to find a better piece! But again I see you are offering advice, so thank you. And the upvote and share also! I look forward to checking out some of your art !
Well... as a Traditional Artist I have never ever filmed the process or steps until I came here. But I am now enjoying making Timelapse videos while I work and sharing in other places.
Awesome, timelapse is a great idea I will look into that.
I just use the Timelapse feature on my iPhone.... I upload to TikTok and add music there. Then I upload the TikTok video to YouTube so I can embed here on a Hive and Smoke.io https://Smoke.io ......

Are you on TikTok and Youtube ? I always add the #Hive hashtag and link back to Hive to try and get other artists to come and Join Hive. There are millions of artists and art collectors on TikTok and Youtube. You can sell a lot of work there.
Looking good! I'm on Android but I bet there's an alternative. I'm not on there as of yet, only got the mandatory instagram set up so far, looking at RPAN (Reddit public access) next as a way of reaching some new people.
