Giancarlo Esposito sure does seem to enjoy talking about Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian.
He plays the villainous Moff Gideon in the new series, so in the upcoming second season he'll be the one who will be partaking in the crazed hunting of Mando and The Child as they're on a journey to find a safe haven similar in the first season.
Wow!!
I'm getting so excited for Season 2 I can't wait much longer, you guys?!
Well, Gideon and Mando will find themselves facing off with each other again, and in a recent interview with EW, Esposito talks about going toe-to-toe with the bounty hunter, and he provides additional interesting insight into his character saying:
I’ll be going toe-to-toe with Mando. It’s an iconic battle. I want to disarm him mentally as well.
Who knows?
Maybe there will some sort of an opportunity to get him to fight some battles for me.
You may think I’m a villain, but what I'm trying to do really is harness some energy and some powers for a path that could be best for all.
You'll get to see him be somewhat diplomatic and more of a manipulator.
