Day 2 of Hive Fest was a full conference day, held in a tent set up in the garden of the Gallery Meštrović, right by the beach.
If you look at some of the photos or videos, you may wonder, “Where is everyone?” It was really hot, so most people were sitting in the shade to listen to the talks. I was also in the shade relaxed on the grass.
There were many interesting talks on new and old projects, the future of Hive, a talk about creating a DAO for the museum etc. As a Bitcoin fan, I was especially looking forward to the talk by @missbitcoin-sv, who is Miss Universe El Salvador and works on social projects using Bitcoin. She visited Ghana with @mcsamm (Samm), who is long time Hive user and the leader of the water supply project in Ghana. Seeing the water facility with the Hive logo moved me a lot. I felt proud to be on such a meaningful blockchain.
In Day 3’s report, I’ll write more about the documentary made by @mynewlife (Raf) that features the project in Ghana. It was really touching and convincing that crypto can be used for good cause. I can’t wait to share more.
Now, about the food! I missed taking photos of the sweets but here’s a glimpse of what we ate.
The catering team was friendly, and one of the staff members spoke fluent Japanese. I was so happy to speak in Japanese here that I brought him one of Furoshiki I recently started producing as a gift.
The catering staff also told that we could walk to a public beach just three minutes away, where we could swim for free. I couldn’t resist, so I made a few trips to the beach between talks. Split truly feels like a paradise on Earth. I’m so thankful to Hive Fest for bringing me to this beautiful place.
At the end of the conference day, we got beers, so I grabbed one and headed back to the beach to enjoy my own little "Beer Saturday".
We also took group photos, which you can see in @bil.prag ) ’s post. It’s like a family photo of Hive—a great memory and souvenir.
After that, we took a bus to a restaurant for dinner.
It seems like there was a vegetarian menu option, but I decided to take a break from being vegetarian during Hive Fest. Thank you animals ... 🙏 It’s been a while since I’ve had such a big piece of meat. It was incredibly tender, and I feel like I had enough for the next years. The pasta with Croatian truffles was aromatic and delicious too.
Not only the food but also the view from the restaurant was great. I made a shot of the sunset from the restaurant.
I took a bus back to the hotel a bit earlier since I stay in a way remote from the city center, and honestly, I was so full it was hard to walk 😂 That’s how good the food was.
By the way, I forgot to share what are inside the goodie bag in my Day 1 report, so here they are! It might be nice to make something related to Hive JA next year.
It's about Hive Fest Day 2. I enjoy being here a lot.

That's great... you've already secured your beer post for tomorrow.... joke. Well, no, no joke, let us know how that Croatian beer is.
Furoshiki, the art of wrapping with cloth? Have you posted about it?
;)
I have beer stocks for next weeks 😁 Croatian beer is definitely taste for hot summer days and the German beer detlev got from MetaBrew was also nice.
I have a post about Furoshiki:

And even it's interesting that Japanese Ministry of Environment has a graphical explanation on their website. Thanks to your comment, I found this page.
